He came out to quote on recessed lighting, troubleshooting, and hanging some fixtures. He took a lot of time over the quote and tried to explain some better solutions than what we had in mind. We agreed on the scope, he quoted that evening, and scheduled for the following week.

He arrived on time, demoed 5 fixtures, fitted 12 recessed lights over 3 rooms, and fitted two chandeliers. He was out and gone by 3. His drywall guy came next day and it looks like no one was ever here.

The finished product is great - his ideas on design and placement were great. He takes great pride in his work and getting you results you will be happy with.

I texted him in the evening because some things were not working after they left. He called back right away and told me where to look to fix it - it was a tripped outlet that needed resetting and it wasn't anywhere near the stuff he had touched.

Wow!!! I called James yesterday and described my problem, and he quickly over the phone told me what was likely wrong was an easy fix I could do myself. He walked me through the steps, and I went home and followed his instructions - lo and behold, everything worked! He was skilled enough to diagnose the most likely issue by phone, and then kind enough to help me fix it myself instead of taking advantage an opportunity to bill me for an expensive service call.

Next time something is really wrong, he will be my first call. Really impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, and kindness.

I don't write many reviews but I just wanted to share the awesome experience I had with James. I called to get a quote to upgrade a 6-20 outlet to 14-50 in order to charge my new Tesla. He responded quickly via Yelp and provided the best quote compared to other electricians. He was here a couple days later and installed the outlet in about an hour. He was quick to point out all the dangerous mistakes the previous electrician made and described how the job should be done. Considering I have a 2 year old running around I'm very thankful that he wanted to make sure the job was done correctly and safely. He also vacuumed and swept the work area after he was done. Thanks James, you are my GO-TO for all future electrician needs!

*Please Read Before You Buy* this review which isn't just about his impeccable attention to detail or better prices, rather it's about being quoted $1,800 from another local high-profile electrician to replace my breaker box which he stated was absolutely necessary, without bothering to troubleshoot. Romero from SV Electric quoted me a price almost half of what his competitor wanted but in the end within 2 minutes Romero identified the problem - a loose screw causing an arc - and charged $10 for replacement parts plus a reasonable service call fee... on a SUNDAY. Lightening-fast communication and honesty beyond reproach. The Bay Area is absolutely fortunate to have such an honest, highly-qualified and detail-oriented electrician.

We got a quote from another electrician and it was $300 more than Jame's quote. The other electrician also didn't do a thorough job of scooping out our layout and said he had to route wires from the inside of our house to the outside. The other electrician also told us our circuit breaker was out dates. Meaning we would need to look into getting it changed out $$$$

James was extremely thorough and gave us tips on some DIY projects to save us money. He was very honest which gave us assurance that we went with the best.
