I was working with Jeff on a basement electrical inspection and work in my house. I was not in SF when the work started and after more than one week of work, there was still no quote for the project from Jeff. I bought the flight back to SF and found out Jeff was misreporting the hours after I checked the security system. I decided to stop the contract with him and worked with someone else.
The patching costed me more than $2,000 as the shape that Jeff cut was irregular. The patching contractor said he had never seen such poor quality of work in his life..
I read the reviews from yelp and found the information definitely misleading. It was a waste of time and money in my experience.

Jeff is a gentleman and as good as it gets as far as contractors go. Our electric oven/stove range mysteriously stopped working and our previous electrician moved to Fremont and couldn't help us. I checked Yelp for recommendations and most of the electricians were going to charge us exorbitant fees, even if the problem was minor (which we felt that it was). Jeff was so professional, kind, and flexible, and moved things around so that he could see us the same day. He understood what other contractors didn't--even though it was a (potentially) small job, a broken stove has a tremendous impact on a family, especially a family with a newborn baby!

Jeff was so thorough during his visit. He checked and double-checked every breaker, as well as our PG&E meter. It turned out that the problem was with PG&E and not the breaker at all, thus saving us the hassle and cost of replacing the breaker.

Mostly, I was impressed with how sincerely kind Jeff was. He was very reasonable with his fee and his honesty/integrity saved us considerable money and heartache. He is so deserving of your business!

The owner Jeff is a pleasure to work with. Honest, reasonably priced, knowledgeable, and very responsive. Although my job was small he treated it with urgency and I'm going to hire him for another job. He also did a full house rewire for my friend (who referred me) and he was quite happy, so Jeff can do it all from small projects to larger ones.

You know the exact person you will be working with and this case, Jeff Xu, responded quickly, did meticulous work, and when I mistakenly wrote my check for ten dollars over the estimate, he pointed it out to me. Jeff at Surpass Electric exceeded my expectations. He's an expert electrician, honest, and hardworking. He rewired our doorbell (which now works really well and even has a light in the push button), solved a strange issue with a GFCI shutting off at random times, and installed a three prong outlet.
He also took a look at old wiring, which I thought had better be replaced. But he said it was absolutely fine and did not need to be replaced. I really appreciate Jeff's honesty and effort and will for sure call him the next time we need an electrician.
