I was at a loss of ideas on how to light up an add on to the house I just bought because the accessibility of electrical wiring was limited. The previous owners had a fan and I really disliked the set up. Finally, Sergio and his team got their creative hats on and proposed an idea that I just loved; to use LED lighting strips with accented covers along the ceiling beams! I'm extremely grateful for their creative and efficient work style and so happy with the results!

Received estimate and agreed to estimated price range for work. Tech did a great job. Upon completion of work, tech advised work to be on lower end of estimate range as less time and material was required to finish job. Invoiced an ever higher price than the highest end of the estimate range - Did not honor estimate provided even when work was more simple and less time and material was used.

When contacting our prior electrician I learned he no longer did residential work. In my search for a new electrician I contacted Surge Electric, and Sergio came out the next day to see the job area (mostly adding an outlet for a formerly hard-wired kitchen appliance) then provide a quote. We had a tight installation deadline on our end and I asked if he could do the work a few days later/in the same week? Ultimately he was able to do, and a few days later Alex came out and did a great job. Would definitely recommend Surge Electric!

I had a bunch of outlets stop working after one blew out. They were able to come out the next day and got everything fixed right away. They also helped fix a light that has been flickering. Very nice and very good price!

We found Surge Electric through SMUD's list of approved contractors when we were getting quotes for replacing our electrical panel and raising our weatherhead.

We had an old ungrounded Zinsco panel in our 1940s East Sac home, and we were converting our power drop to a midspan service drop. We wanted someone that works regularly with SMUD, communicates well, and provides excellent customer service at a fair price.

Surge Electric checked all these boxes! Sergio came out the next day to assess our project and give us a quote. He worked with SMUD to schedule a date that worked for all of us. He showed up on time and communicated clearly. He and his electrician Alex performed the work as promised, all with a smile. Very professional, extremely honest and kind. Highly recommend!

I asked Sergio to install a Tesla home charger in the garage of my last home. He come out, cut the access and ran the 48A wires to the main, and then installed the charger itself from the box. Great work, it looked like it had come with the house. The initial visit for the estimate was very friendly and thorough: he went through a lot of options with me for placement and what changes would be needed inside the garage.

This review is long-overdue. But, I cannot recommend Sergio and Surge Electric more highly. They are honest, pleasant, professional, and Sergio went above and beyond to help me out when we were having a near-emergency. They upgraded our panel from 100 to 200 amp (much needed), and made the entire process as painless as possible. The care Sergio and his team put into their work and relationships with customers is amazing. Will always call them first with any electrical needs.
