I had interviewed a couple other solar companies prior to finding Milholland. Milholland has been in business for more than 25 years and their experience shows. Milholland showed up on time, and followed through with everything they promised and more. I have had other projects done on my house over the years and have never been more impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail as I have had with Milholland. I couldn't recommend them more. The entire process from start to finish was perfection.

We had Milholland remove (and reinstall) existing solar panels so that we could have a new roof installed. Their bid was competitive, and everyone we spoke with at the company was professional and courteous. They were so easy to work with, being flexible on timing and always communicating regarding progress and next steps. I wish they had been the company to install our panels in the first place. If we purchase another home in San Diego that needs solar installed, I would not hesitate to use these guys.

Looked into a roof replacement and solar. Researched several companies and interviewed Milholland based on a recommendation from a friend. Right away their company reps treated me with great customer service and did not try any forced sales tactics. Their quotes were even very competitive compared to the other companies I interviewed. I felt very comfortable with Milholland from day one. I even had a few questions on the contract language and they were amenable to make a few pen and ink changes to the contract. We decided to go w/ the SunPower panels with micro inverters. In the end they completed both the roof and solar project with outstanding customer service and kept me informed throughout the project. All their workers were very professional and courteous. Special shout out to Arturo Cuervas for the roof project and to River Brown and Brandon Pasborg for the great support on the solar project. They were all very responsive to my numerous concerns and questions.

Update 2015-We decided to put solar on our other home too-I called Harry, they set everything up and within less than 60 days it was in and running perfectly. I have since recommended them to a couple friends and feel good about doing so.

We started thinking about going solar about four years ago and made contact with a half dozen solar companies. And they were all very slimy. You wanted to wash your hands after talking to them. And none of the quotes were attractive to us.

Fast forward to 2015, and we were going to try again. This time we were somewhat impressed by one company (I won't name names), but it turned out that they were only a sales office. They used Milholland Solar & Electric to handle their installations here in San Diego. So we said, ""Why aren't we talking to Milholland?"" We got in touch with Harry Berman at Milholland, who met with us and provided several quotes. Bottom line: we liked Harry very much and felt that he (and the company) were honest and would treat us fairly. They also had the best quote of any we'd received, and we liked working with the company that would actually perform the installation.

I can't recall all the people involved in our project, but Noah Saltman and Brandon Pasborg were the on-site managers. Guy Johnson handled all the roofing issues. We were impressed with the whole team. The project went smoothly and quickly. We went with LG panels with micro inverters, and we've been quite pleased with their performance over the last 10 months.

Follow-up has been great. There was a windstorm a few months back which tore up some of our roof tiles. Roger Jimenez came out to inspect the solar panel installation (which was not damaged), and he replaced some of our broken roof tiles. Just recently, we changed our cable modem and home WiFi network, and our Enphase system lost its connection. David Dawson, project engineer, came out and got everything back online again. We love tracking our daily solar production -- and our meter is WAY below the starting point last June.

I highly recommend Milholland Electric for solar power installation. They installed 32 panels on my Scripps ranch home summer of 2015 and i have been reaping the benefits of no cost electric ever since.
The reason I hired them instead of the competition is because they quite simply provide old school service at the best value (their quote was lower than 2 other reputable vendors). I received the LG technology I was looking for with sensors, and guarantees on service and the product (manufacturer.). The sales process was low pressure and the team that showed up was on time and cordial. Every promise that made, they kept - and each person in the service model was positive and responsive. Super impressed!!

Milholland has been great to work with! Brandon Pasborg provided a competitive quote and was very responsive to all of my questions, even on weekends. The Milholland crew did a very professional job installing my system and their customer service has been awesome. It is extremely difficult for me to write this review. I do not like negative reviews as I believe everyone/company deserves opportunities to provide the services promised. We found milholland at a del mar home show in October. My husband was hot for solar so we reviewed everything researched and were very happy and excited to get started. We incorporated roof repapering and minor repair as well as electrical upgrades and panels. It is almost February and we are still not done. Problem 1 continual lack of communication
Problem 2 constant changing of project managers
BIGGEST ISSUE - roof repair took 9 days to complete on a 1,000 sq ft home. My neighbor had theirs done in 3 days. No rain delays just very unorganized and VERY VERY SLOPPY keep in mind. Everyone was friendly kind and polite but really not prepared for the job. Example. They came in a small truck and left all the old roofing for DAYS on the side of my house. NAILS EVERYWHERE. We have two small dogs and they consistently left gates open. Each day they had a reason such as no wood or needed more tiles. My husband has had to call every day and find out the status and push them. On the flipside the electrical panel repair went off completely without a hitch exactly as outlined. We are scheduled to actually start our solar panels installation tomorrow and I will update and let you all know that status.

I promised an update to my review now that our solar is finally in on and running I must say that the solar division of Mulholland was extremely expedient are panels were up our wires were all in and we were hooked up all within seven days

I contacted Milholland mid September 2015 after having received 2-3 other bids for solar. I have also gone through the solar process before having installed panels at my last house in Murrieta. Milholland had a very relaxed, no hard sell approach which I liked plus the products and price I was looking for. I decided on 14 LG panels with LG micro-inverters paid for using the HERO Program which was important to me.

From the day I contacted Milholland to the day SDGE gave me the green light to turn on the system was only 6-7 weeks. Every interaction with Milholland from the site survey to the install was prompt, friendly, and professional. I can't say enough great things about my experience with Milholland. I have already referred them out and would use them again in a heartbeat.

What an amazing company and staff! My mom used them to handle the electric/ wiring for our family house going solar and was super impressed by the service! They showed up on time and ready to go. Very friendly team (and if you appreciate some nice eye candy while they're doing their thing on your roof, this definitely is an added benefit! ;) Just sayin'!) Morgan was especially great and very informative with the process. Really looking forward to having solar at our home. Was super glad they were the contracted partner of Sungevity!
