Brian's team did an amazing job and are true professionals. From day one they prepared me for the process and kept me informed of the progress. The installation of the system (43 panels) went without a hitch and it looks like they belong there. I would recommend this team to all of my family and friends. My system was turned on a few days ago and it is wonderful watching the SDG&E meter run backwards. Oh and unlike many they were concerned about the little things and left my home better then it was.

We had one of their sales guys give us their sales pitch based on initial promises. After wasting our time for over an hour we pressed him about the information he originally told us - turns out he was lying completely just to get in the door. He completely misrepresented what this solar company offers. Then he tried to justify it that ""all the other"" companies practice the same kind of bait and switch with electricity promises. When I called the owner Brian to report this deception his response was that ""all the other companies do it to."" So the duplicitous practices are known and approved of by the owner. DISHONEST business and DISHONEST owner. Buyer beware.

I am remodel ling my house & need an electrician to upgrade my electrical. I called & reached a guy named Brian, evidently the owner. I said I need a bid on the electrical for my remodel but I'm also interested in going solar. I told him the priority is a bid on the electrical. He made an appointment for Sunday afternoon. I said ""will that be for the electrical or solar?"" He said he is sending a guy for both. I was impressed. The showed up on time. I spent 1/2 hour showing him the new panel, sub panel permits etc. , the list referenced to a a drawing etc. Then he says ""you'll have to ask the electrician. "" Me: ""aren't you the electrician?"" He ""I'm the solar guy."" I'm somewhat irritated but I invite him to get a chair & sit at the table. I take a breath & tell him the solar program I'm interested in. He talks a bunch of tech speak lingo. I ask him to define some of the words he's using bcs I don't know the words in his context.. He carries on his sales pitch in lingo, using the same words I've just asked him to explain. He asks the size of my electrical bill. I start to tell him what it is & what it will be after the remodel. As I'm speaking, I notice he is not listening. He's texting on his phone under the table. I guess he didn't notice the table is glass. I say ""are you texting?"" I guess my annoyance showed bcs he says ""I think I'd better leave"". I say: ""I think so"". I thought I'd get a call with apology from his boss. Its about 5 hours . No call. I won't be using this company. That's for sure! Also, in looking back, the good reviews are in their advertisement, rather than from yelpers. Dummy me!

After we shopped around and got a few quotes for our solar system project, we picked Milholland Solar and Electric for our project. The price was very reasonable for our leasing and the sales person was very responsive during the project period. The only thing we were not happy about was the Newton information after the installation was not communicated adequately and some other minor stuff. Their internal communication between different departments can be improved to better serve their customer need.

My wife and I looked into solar for 4 years before finding Milholland. From the first meeting the staff was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. They had a program that fit us perfectly and once we had agreed to work with them, they worked to get our panels installed as quickly as possible and were successful. We turned on the panels in late December 2012 and immediately saw a reduction in the electric bill, even with the cloudy and rainy weather we had. Last month, April was the first month where we had a credit on the electric bill and the sunny months are still ahead! Our system has been operating at 127% of projected output! We couldn't be happier with Milholland Solar and Electric from planning to install, everyone was just outstanding! I would highly recommend Milholland Solar and Electric!

After interviewing and getting bids from 4 different companies that were highly rated on Yelp and the BBB, I choose these guys and was not let down!

I worked with Harry who was very knowledgeable and was able to answer my technical questions, unlike some of the other companies which were marketing focused. He gave me a strong bid off the bat, which I had the other companies try to match. One of which wouldn't even try, probably because they were a solar marketing company who contracts out their work.

In the end, I got a great 5.28 kW system installed quickly and efficiently, through all the city and HOA permitting. They kept me informed as things went along, and were always responsive to my questions.

It's great to now have the solar system now feeding my house and electric car!
