Sunny boy showed up last minute on a Sunday to make sure our broken window got fixed the next day. I called a bunch of other contractors who wouldn't come out. We were staying at an AirBNB and wanted it fixed before we left. He wasn't expensive and got the job done! Thanks again for pulling through in a time of need.

STOLEN PROPERTY--UNFINISHED WORK
This is Gil's standard operating procedure. Sunny Boy Home Repairs was contracted to complete a small remodel of a closet. They left the job incomplete with a promise to return and took our vintage trim with them. Multiple return dates were scheduled, requiring my wife or I to take time off work, but none were met. Gil refused to return our property, our calls, or complete the work he had contracted for. Finally, when we actually got Gil on the phone, he flat-out refused service and refused to return property taken as part of the project to be completed. He is an UNLICENSED contractor. He has many complaints.

Look no further! Seriously these guys are the best handymen in the Coachella Valley! We have used them twice now and both times they did a perfect job! We feel so lucky to have found a company that we know we can count on to get the work done and at an exceptional price. We have utilized them for flooring as well as ceiling work. The guys are very hard working and care about it getting it done as quick as possible. We really couldn't be happier with the experience!

Spoke to someone who answered and asked if they could work on Sunday. He said no problem. He said to text details and he would get back to me at 10 am Sunday. Never got a response. Very disappointing.

I had a leak in my bathroom sink in Palm Springs, on a Saturday. Sunny Boys responded to my call and showed up to fix the leak quickly. He told me which materials to pick up at Lowe's and he waited for me to get back and he installed them. The leak wasn't actually totally stopped--I'm not sure the reason, but he returned on Monday to finish it up. I then had him change some valves which he did quickly and everything is in great working order now. His prices seemed fair and was very friendly.

READ THE BAD REVIEWS, THEY'RE TRUE!
Ok. Before I get started, I want to clarify, I've seriously held off on writing this review for a long time now (since Sept 12, 2015 to be exact), because I truly wanted to give Gil at chance. Not to mention, I am not one to write reviews much in the first place. However, I would like to warn others of this business.

When Gil first came over, me and my husband though, ""Wow, this guy is a godsend."" He was prompt and came when he said he would, moreover, he came early. That was very different from our previous handyman, who didn't even bother to call to say he's still running late an hour passed the schedule arrival time. In our interaction with Gil, we thought he was honest.

We were wrong. The day Gil came to fix our stuff (kitchen sink leak, tightening the sink heads, calibrating the ceiling fans so they don't shake so much, and our guest shower that didn't work), we paid him $260 for his services. Also, the guest shower wasn't fixed, because it needed a replacement part which I gave Gil $100 in advance for. At the time, we were really satisfied with his services. He said he would return on Monday to help us fix the shower and recalibrate the fans after he did some research online.

Later on that day, I learned from our real estate agent, who had called to check in on us, that we had a one year warranty that came with our recently purchased house. I immediately called Gil and apologized for the inconvenience and let him know that though I won't be using his services, I am extremely happy to recommend him to a few friends. I also told him he could just drop off the money and the parts he took from the shower on Monday.

Come Monday, Gil did not show. He responded to my text message saying he had an emergent job and could not make it, but will call me later that night to reschedule. I could understand. But, the call did not happen. The next day, I texted and called him again. No response. It was not until I mentioned that I had recommended him to a friend who needed a lot of repairs done, did he respond. He said he was under the weather and would call again to reschedule. By this time, I was already frustrated and upset by the experience. He was unprofessional.

After much stress and discussion with my husband, we had decided it wasn't worth it to get the money back from him. He is dishonest and unprofessional and we'd rather not waste time or energy on someone like this. Not to mention, he is a hypocrite whom swears that he would not do dishonest things because it wasn't ""worth going to hell for"".

For those who consider using Sunny Boy Home Repair, BEWARE! I warn you, think again. Til this day, we have neither gotten our $100 for parts he did not buy back, nor the parts he took with him. The sink heads are loose again, the leak in the kitchen sink was a two part problem he only solved one of, and the fans were a half-a** job as he never returned.

Gil, if you're reading this, keep the money and the parts. We don't want anything to do with you again!

Gill and his crew are absolutely THE BEST!!!!! Go with this company and you will not be disappointed. They are reliable, honest, and highly knowledgeable in their craft.
As a military family trying to sell our rental property from across the country, we didn't know who we could trust. We came into the area to meet with local contractors and found that they were just taking advantage of our lack of knowledge in home repairs. Not Gill...he gave us a great price and most importantly was honest and efficient from start to finish. I highly recommend this company to everyone both locally and remotely.
