Sun Solar Electric installed a Sonnen ecoLinx battery at my home as part of a special project. I wasn't given the opportunity to choose the company, but I'm happy that they were chosen for me.

Mike first came over to take measurements and plan out where to place the battery and get an idea of how to hook everything together. I could immediately tell that he was good at what he does. He was thorough, identified potential issues, and thought of a lot of options very quickly. The first meeting was brief, but I felt more than comfortable to have Sun Solar Electric install the battery.

On installation day, Mike and Jim showed up with the battery. They came on time and were ready to roll. They made sure to have their (COVID) masks on, and insisted that they wanted me to be comfortable with them working in my home. I asked if I could watch them do the installation, and Mike told me that I was more than welcome to.

During the install, they found a couple issues with the current wiring (older house from the 50s). They fixed them without hesitation, even though it was a bit more unplanned work. Mike and Jim wanted to ""make things right"" wherever they feasibly could.

Even though the install included some minor demolition, they both kept the workspace nice and clean. They made sure to clean up any leftover debris that was created after the installation was complete.

The battery is working great, and Mike has been helping me with some configuration.

Overall, I'm happy with the battery and with the company. They were very professional, and Mike and Jim were a blast to hang out with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family.

I found Sun Solar Electric on Yelp after requesting a quote for some electrical work for our kitchen and an exterior fountain. Sun Solar responded to my request right away, and they were able to work with me regarding the time frame we needed. Today, Michael came to our home as scheduled, right on time, and fixed the kitchen issue easily and quickly. He also diagnosed and recommended a fix for the fountain that will resolve a problem we have been having for years. We are going to have Sun Solar fix that issue as well as install some additional lighting in our kitchen that we have been wanting to put in. Michael is very knowledgeable, personable, and professional, and I highly recommend him and Sun Solar Electric for your electric needs. Top notch!

I've used Mike, Jayson and their crew for several years now for electrical jobs on my home and have recommended them to many friends all over the Bay Area. They've always been professional and their quality of work shows.

Just over a year ago, I purchased a solar panel system from them consisting of LG panels and Enphase Micro inverters. Upon my anniversary and my true-up period, I was right about where I should be. Best solar panel company in the Bay Area. These guys are priced competitive and the quality of work is amazing. We had Sun Solar Electric come by for a consultation they were on time & provided an estimate in a timely manner and scheduled the day of service. We just had Sun Solar Electric Complete their service and again they were on time and very professional. We highly recommend hiring them for any electrical work they are knowledgeable and friendly and provide fair estimates. I set up an appointment with Jayson to do an estimate on installing an EV charger. He neither showed up for the appointment nor called to say he wasn't coming. The first thing I look for in a contractor/repair person is dependability. Draw your own conclusions.
