Warren was fantastic. He showed up on time and fixed all the problems from previous tech in no time. Highly recommend.?

No job is too small for this amazing team! They have helped me out a couple of times on different projects. So knowledgeable and helpful. Both times a quick response and able to help and get the job done so quickly. Thank you guys!!!

What a great company. Our friends referred them to us and we are so glad they did. Jayson was very helpful. He answered all of our questions and provided the information we needed to make a good decision. Nick and the install crew did a great job. The install went well and they handled a minor issue quickly and professionally. The products they use are high quality and we are happy with our investment. the after-install assistance and advice was excellent and greatly appreciated.

Sending shout-out to the team at Sun Solar Electric for the excellent customer service and solar installation. I started my solar investigation back in November 2022, right before NEM 2.0 was going to expire. I was fully installed and operational by late August. I spent the last 6 weeks or so making sure the installation and the deliverable was perfect before I did this review. Like every good consumer, I started my search by only looking at the larger, more established solar companies. I only considered looking at the more prominent brands, but once I started to engage the companies with questions about NEM 2.0 and the sizing of my system, things started to fall apart. I spent many hours looking at both Sun Power and Tesla, with pros and cons for both companies. Tesla, for example, had fantastic pricing for the system size with batteries added, but their customer service is atrocious. Sun Power was great in helping me with sizing and cost, but their cost was way out of my budget range. Now in comes Sun Solar Electric (SSE) I must say this upfront: I have family that SSE employs. This relationship gave me a reason to see at least what this smaller company could provide me for this solar project I was contemplating. I reached out to my cousin Richard Griffin, and he got me in contact with one of the sales consultants, Miles Gardea. My experience from there was just fantastic. I am very inquisitive when making a super large purchase, and Miles and the rest of the team at SSE were very patient with me and all my different inquiries. The other plus for all this is that I was trying to ensure I met the NEM 2.0 cut-off, which SSE could do without breaking a sweat. I brought this exact requirement up to Tesla, and they were very non-committal with more of a no than we will try to get it done. Overall, I worked with everyone from the sales team, warehouse, and the owners; they treated me like they valued my business. So, to sum this all up, if you are looking for solar and want a great experience, give SSE a shot at earning your business you will thank me if you do.
BTW, I put up 20 panels and 2 batteries, and they were less than Sun Power (by a lot) and just a bit more than Tesla, but for better quality engagement, I will pay a bit more every time.

From start to finish these guys went to great lengths to give us top notch service. Steve Bernard was honest and we were able to understand all phases of our project. The installers, Mike and Jimmy and all their crew were impeccable in their service and mindful of our needs. They were organized and ready to work when it was needed. We ended up with a 17.5 KW ground mounted system and it started to work right away. Now I can thumb my nose at PGE. Thank You to the wonderful crew at Sun Solar Electric. Very, very pleased with their work ethic.

Let me begin by stating that when I started the process I was dealing with a health issue that made me want to confirm that this company would be there for my wife if concerns should arise after the install. I went to their location and met Mike Meyer and Jason Fernandes who handle the electrical and solar operations. Learned that they are family owned and are bringing their kids into the business to secure a solid company, with plans to be around for a long time. I left completely reassured.
The first person I dealt with was Page Leonard, the sales consultant. He came up with a well prepared proposal as to the number and placement of the panels. He was very patient with me and my numerous questions. I had some different ideas and we reached agreement on the third proposal. So what does this mean. Page, and the company as a whole, are willing to listen to the customer and allow you to be part of the process. Next up was Nick, who came by the house to do a visual of the planned installation. He fine tuned the plan and was able to do a wiring change in order to produce accurate monitoring of the panels and the Enphase battery system. Next up was Brian who was in charge of the install team. Brian, and his team, are perfectionists who did excellent work. Even at this point he looked at the job and was able to make some small changes to improve the project. The team members listen and trust in each other. That's appreciated by me, the customer.
Following the install, Nick came by to program the batteries. There was a slight hiccup in its ability to communicate with Enphase, but it was ironed out in one week. On 05/20/22 I received my ""permission to operate"" from PG&E and the system is working like a charm. I also have confidence that Sun Solar Electric will be there for me should a problem arise in the future.

I regret selecting this company for my solar system installation. They were polite until paid. Then they stopped answering calls, lied about the details of the installation (for example, we had agreed that six circuits would be on backup power but they installed only four.) Post-installation, the system has had several problems (for example, not delivering emergency power from the backup battery when the grid failed). Warranty service is non-existent. I get only excuses, when they respond at all. These are not honest vendors. Avoid them!

The guys at sun solar are awesome. While I was getting quotes for solar panels a company tricked me into signing documents, they said the needed to get me my quote and see if I qualified for the loan for the installation. every time they asked for something for me to sign, I told them I'm not agreeing to getting the panels installed I was just getting quotes. About 2 months after I talked to them, I got a call ""when do you want the installation to begin"". After arguing with them that I never agreed to the installation since i was still getting quotes and not knowing if i wanted solar since I could be moving soon, they told me they had already got engineers involved, opened permits and it would probably cost me $2-$3000 for the work they had done. I told them to send me a copy of their customer satisfaction policy and was absolutely not going to get solar from them. The guys from Sun Solar heard my story and apologized that I had to go through that and told me what I needed to do to close the open permit, or I would not be able to open any other permits if in the future I wanted to get work done to my property. They helped me out without even trying to sell their system. Super honest, knowledgeable, and friendly guys. if I ever do decide to get solar I'm calling them 1st.

Great job from SunSolar. I started looking for a contractor to replace our 15-year-old string inverter system last year. An upgrade was needed due to additional electric cars and other needs. The two national solar brands I contacted initially had a lot of problems with my needs. 1. I needed to remove the old system which the national contractors would not do. 2. My roof is very broken up requiring several smaller units to achieve my needs. The national contractors did not want to deal with the complexity and would not come on-site to do the work needed to design a proper system.. I found out about Sun Solar and got a hold of Sun Solar's Miles Gardea and he came to my house and immediately was able to assess my needs and get started. It was immediately obvious that Miles and Sun Solar were going to be able to provide the customization needed for my house's unique roof lines. I had A LOT of questions for Miles along the way and Miles kept up with me providing me with all of the information I needed to make an informed decision. Once I was comfortable and signed their contract, Sun Solar moved quickly and installed the system. The installers were here for three days installing the system and they were professional, careful, and tidy. They answered questions I had about the installation and did not leave any mess. The system just passed city inspection today and everything is working perfectly. I also was able to speak with the owner, Jayson, several times throughout the process which was great. Jayson also came to my house today to inspect the entire system and make sure everything was in good shape. It shows commitment when the owner personally shows up to review his team's installation and check in with the client. Great customer service. I am very happy with Sun Solar and would recommend them.

My wife and I really wanted to install solar on our historic old home. With clearance from the landmark folks, I asked 4 different contractors to evaluate and bid. Two were fully ready to take our money and install solar and we were about to sign up, but waited for the report from Sun Solar, because we were very impressed with the company and the presentation. Steve Bernard called to say he had spent hours trying to find a configuration that would provide the needed solar energy, but had not been able to. By the time I got Steve's call, I had done more research and had seriously questioned whether it could work for us. First, we are surrounded by big old trees that provide us with great shade, but cut out a lot of solar exposure. Our roof faces east and west, with no southern exposure. Finally, the roof space is broken up with dormers front and back, leaving what proved to be inadequate space to place enough panels to be effective. For those reasons, I knew immediately that Steve was speaking truthfully and intelligently. I'm disappointed, but so appreciative of getting the truth.
I had the impression from his initial visit that Steve was a man of honor and honesty. He spoke of working for Sun Solar because of their substantial values, consistent with his own. I believe that Sun Solar has proved to be a highly ethical business and I would certainly trust them to do work for us in the future.
