We are committed to completing your projects on time and within your financial plan while offering the highest standard of craftsmanship in the industry. We value the fact that a large part of our business is generated through referrals and loyal clients who have learned that Summit is the best option for all electrical requirements in Northern California. We look forward to increasing the number of sustainable homes in the North Bay in the coming year and offering complete solutions in Electrical and Electronics.
I am a Sonoma County local and an alumnus of both Santa Rosa High School and Santa Rosa Junior College. I became a member of the Summit team in January 2007. Before this, I worked in the mortgage sector and have accumulated years of customer service experience. My husband and I remodeled our home in 2004, which helped me understand the value of trustworthy contractors. I invite clients to contact me for any follow-up needs. I possess extensive institutional knowledge, and if I don’t have the answer, I know where to find it.

Recommended Customer Reviews

This review is 3 years overdue but just wanted to note that we were very satisfied with Summit's installation of solar panels on our rooftop. It went much smoother than another company (now defunct) that installed a ground solar array for us years prior. The process from sales (Michael Cornwall) to project management (Marshall Jennings) was very efficient -- they were well-versed in the products and the offerings were priced competitively. Also just as important, communication and expectations were managed well throughout by all the involved teams (including permits & accounting!). We also preferred their Enphase monitoring app which is a lot more detailed than other solar monitoring apps as you can see output per panel. After the initial job, we reached out to them again a year later regarding generators and battery systems. They were super responsive and the technician Jason gave a very honest and insightful opinion of whether it was worth the install (which it was not at the time) -- and that was much appreciated. Would recommend for any solar project!

We used this company because Interstate Battery recommended them to install 16 large replacement batteries for our off-grid solar system. They made a date, then called me the day before to say they couldn't come until the following day.
The electrician came in one truck and the helper in another huge truck which dwarfed our battery load. Although only one worker was an electrician, they charged $95/hr for the first and $85 for the second, who was there just to help load an unload batteries. They arrived at 9 and finished at 12, taking three hours to disconnect and re-connect 16 easy access batteries! Much time was spent on the telephone, looking at the telephone and on smoke and chat breaks. After loading the discard batteries for return to Interstate, they added another 45 minutes to the bill saying it would take that long for the drop-off, although their dispatcher had told me the return trip would not be charged. They charged me from 8 am to 1 pm for both electricians!
I give them 2 stars for the fact that the system was hooked up and working when they left and both workers were polite and friendly. The bottom line: they were a much larger expense than they should have been.

We are very pleased with the job performed by Summit Electric. The entire team; Ryan Anderson, Project Manager and Jason the technician that did all the work. We couldn't be happier. There professionalism and workmanship is awesome! We would highly recommend this quality organization to all of our friends and family. Great job Team Summit!!

I've been working with the folks at Summit since 2010, when we decided to put solar on our roof.
The technicians are solid and they have stood by their work and valued my input as a customer. When I was not completely satisfied, they made things right quickly and usually did not charge me for the extra work.
I've felt their estimates to be reasonable for the trade and would call their workmanship professional.
During the monitoring of my panels' performance over the last year and a half, they've honored warranties and addressed problems effectively.
This in not to say that there have not been the occasional rough patch during the process, but we've always been able to talk it out and arrive at a fair resolution. I feel that they view me as a customer and a relationship, not a transaction.
These people have been around a while and stand by their work.

If there were a way to use zero stars, I would have. We were interested in wiring a couple of rooms in our house for in-wall or bookshelf speakers and talked with a few companies. Summit appeared on-site and the estimator proceeded to tell us that he wasn't sure how they would do the job and it could run from 1 to 3 days, at ~$1500 per day. I never received any quote or further information.
5 months later a consultation bill shows up for $95! Nowhere was this explained over the phone when I called that I should expect a 'consultation fee' or any expenses for an estimate. My wife and I were amazed and she called them about the bill. The person on the phone left her on speaker while arguing about the charge, though she did get him to waive it eventually but he hung up abruptly without saying good-bye.
The poor experience led us to go a completely different route that was far simpler than anything Summit could render and cost less than half of their lowest range.
