If you're looking for a great electrical contractor in the Sugar Land area, Sugar Land Electric, 832-363-3221 is the contractor you should call. My home exterior outlets shorted out in a heavy rain and Sugar Land Electric diagnosed and solved the problem (by replacing the faulty outlet and installing weather proof boxes on two sets of outlets) all in one hour. I called for an appointment on 12/17/18 and their electrical representative, Rick Kuhn, arrived at the agreed upon time the following day. I learned that Rick has been working as an electrician for over 38 years. It showed in the way he handled the job. He even answered all my many questions as he was doing the work. What a pleasure!

This is one of the best companies you will ever find. They are honest and their prices are very fair. They did our entire house rewire and we would use them again in a heartbeat. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the owner Dave is among the best in the business. Even when we had an small issue when the job was done they came back quickly and fixed the job at no additional charge. 5 stars!!!

Kudos to Sugar Land Electric

I just can not tell you how impressed I am with Sugar Land Electric. I was first introduced to them about a year ago when my wife and I needed an electrical inspection for foster care. Dave who turned out to be the owner of the company and master electrician, came out to do our inspection and while he was here I decided to ask him to do a couple last minute projects. He happily obliged and installed a dedicated outlet and breaker for my compressor and welder. Then he installed a gfci outlet on an exterior wall so I could install landscape lighting. Finally, he installed a timer switch and cleaned up the wiring for my front porch lighting so that they all would come on at the same time with one switch.

A few months later I decided to call On SLE again about installing some extra lighting in my garage. Once again Dave stopped by to discuss my project and provided several great ideas. While he was happy to do the work for me, also suggested that I was more than capable of handling the project myself and described in detail how to do it properly. Like he said, I was able to buy the materials and do the work myself in an afternoon. I now have plenty of light and a few bucks still in my pocket.

This month we we decided to install a hot tub. The hot tub company gave me a quote to have their electrician install the power and I immediately called on SLE to validate the price. Yet again Dave called me and said he would swing by to take a look. He called me later that day and gave me a quote that was a little cheaper than the original quote, but we also discussed future expansion and he suggested while we were at that we consider installing a sub panel with additional capability just Incase we ever installed a pool, outdoor kitchen or some other structure requiring power. So for a few bucks more I was now prepared for just about any future project I could think of. The next day the SLE dig crew showed up and got to work. They trenched the yard laid the cable, replaced the dirt/sod and cleaned up. The following day when the tub was to be delivered another electrician showed up and worked with the hot tub crew to get the tub cabled up and powered on. Everything went off with out a hitch and with out me being there.

All of this leads up today when I decide to move the tub to a different location and realized the power cable was now to short. I made a quick call to SLE asking to be put on their schedule for next week. To my surprise they just had a guy finish a job near by and was able to send him to me right away. I had an electrician at my house within 45 min! Talk about service, or luck, or maybe a little of both, but I am continually impressed by these guys. Dave and his crew are top notch and the only electricians I will use from now on.

Had them out a few months ago for a stove plug, worked out well. Today i had them out for a outside outlet. Ray did good work and had a fair price each time

I only trust and use this company for all my electrical problems. Been using them for 5 years for both my house and business. Honest and fair.

First time, I had them fix my attic fan. Tech didn't know too much about it so he called and went and got blades, which he replaced. But that didn't work so when I called and another guy came out, I was told first tech didn't do the right work. He placed an order for a brand new fan and came back few days later to replace it. When I asked how much, he said I paid enough the first time and said no money owed. I was shocked and asked ""you sure? You wouldn't get in trouble with the boss? "" he laughed and said""I'm the boss.""

Needless to say, I'm sticking with them.

They price hourly and it is very expensive. If the job ends at 11:00, writing the bill takes 15 minutes and after 11:15 the calculation switches to 11:30. It is the company policy.
Be careful about taking note about the time when they start.
