Stuart is my electrician for 10+ years, and always does a great job. My entire house was flickering, called SDGE, three times. They were not able to fix my problem. I called Stuart to see if he can figure out what's wrong with my lights and he did not hesitate to come immediately and he fixed the problem right away he also explained the problem to me. I highly recommend him, he is reliable, honest and thorough.

Stuart has now done several electrical jobs for us here in Coronado on our house that is over 100 years old. Stuart repaired and corrected many issues that were previously done incorrectly (or not at all) and he changed out all the cheap and ugly light switches to period-appropriate push button switches. He's a great problem-solver and super conscientious about being efficient on the job and cleaning up after he's finished. He's exceptionally good at keeping us informed about the work and the options we have as he's going along. Stuart is a true expert and we feel lucky to be able to call on him for help here when we need it.

Of all the tradesmen who have come to my home throughout my life, Stuart, of Stuart Electric, has been the most professional and conscientious of the entire group. He is honest, fair, and diligent. I hired him to change a smoke detector, which I couldn't reach, at the top of a stairwell. While the job itself was not particularly complex, getting the right ladder in place required a certain amount of creativity and finesse. Stuart made it look easy and treated our home as if it were his own --- he wore booties, covered the floors properly and was careful not to ding the walls with his equipment. Overall, a very positive experience. Will definitely hire him again!

Stuart did the electrical for a small bathroom remodel about 5 years ago and all went well. We called him back in August 2018 to check on the electrical panel because of some intermittent power issues. He came out as soon as we called and arrangements were made to continue the work. After an appointment with SDGE was made for a disconnect, Stuart called and said he was not going to do the work. We were left in a bind and found another electrician to do the work that could meet the SDGE appointment time and also required much less work and much less cost. We cannot recommend someone who you cannot rely on.

Stuart answered his phone! And he made time to come out the same day. He also kept to the schedule arranged. Stuart gave us a quote for work we might need but also explained what we could try to solve the problem we had. A newly installed window air conditioner was straining the power and tripping one of the breakers. So far his suggestion has worked and the estimate for adding a circuit if we need one was free. Stuart took the time to make some specific suggestions regarding our lighting to reduce energy. We highly recommend him because he is very professional and has excellent communication skills.

Sometimes you get lucky. There aren't huge numbers of reviews but I took a chance and called to compare his estimate for my described work and while the rates are comparable to other electricians, I liked Stuart's forthright answers. We calendared a time and date for an appointment. He asked for pictures of some fixtures and switches so good indicators too. He was prompt, did great work and listened when we walked through the house. His questions helped me make good decisions when there were options. His company is a hidden gem in Coronado where most of his work occurs but it is worth getting him to cross that bridge.
