This is my first Yelp review and I'm happy to do it for SJC Electric. I called Steve, the owner, and told him that my kitchen outlets, exhaust hood, and stove suddenly went out and I probably needed a fuse replacement. I also had a heavy dining room chandelier which dropped from its ceiling mount and was dangling by its chain. He quoted me $150 and we made an appointment.

Steve came with his son, Scott, and another electrician. They took down the dangling chandelier and had to disassemble it because it was too heavy to lift back up. Once they replaced the bracket, they shortened the chain and remounted the chandelier. That job took two ladders and all three men.

Next, they worked in the kitchen which I thought would be a simple fuse replacement. However, they had to hunt for a secondary fuse box which was hidden somewhere. They disassembled the overhead exhaust hood and found the hidden box to repair it.

Steve charged me what he quoted me over the phone and I would have gladly paid more for the work they put in. Steve and his crew are professionals and I will definitely call on them in the future.

I got different quotes before my Tesla wall connector installation. Some of them just asked me to send photo.Steve came to my house and he was the only one who used screw driver to open my electric panel and checked carefully. He even mentioned something about double tapped wiring and would be willing to help me with the breaker issue. At that moment, I know he is the guy I am looking for.
At the installation day, he spent around 2 hours to help me changing breaker and installing Tesla wall connector. After installation, I m testing the speed.. 4..8..12...24...30...42... finally I can get rid of my 5 miles/hr regular charger .. Thanks Steven

I'll start with awesome! I needed a 220 line run for my ac. I called and he came that day to give me a quote. He was professional and knew what he was doing. We scheduled our appointment and he arrived on time and was very efficient. The price out the door was what I was quoted:) I had another small task for a light switch I asked him about and he fixed it while he was here! I have already saved his name and number in my phone for future use.

I interviewed 5 contractors to bid on replacing my old electrical panel. I worked for a utility company so I knew what qualifications a good contractor should have. Out of the 5 Steven Clairmount was the best qualified and the most experienced. Steven knew exactly what had to be done according to code. Steven also pointed out a circuit that was overloaded and fixed it. He also has a great working relationship with city inspectors which made the entire process painless. Steve's workmanship is outstanding and professional. His crew arrived on time and immediately started working on their assigned tasks. One can tell they've done this many times before. His crew is very competent and courteous.

Steven is very honest. His gave me a firm price to complete entire job with no upfront money. If you want things done correctly and to code I recommend that you hire Steven.

Finally found a local electrician I can trust. Steven showed up at my house on time, very polite , honest and performed a job up in the attic that most electricians would turn down. The price was fair and the job looks GREAT!! I will definitely be calling SJC for future electrical needs.

If I could have gotten a picture of my smoking outlet I would have posted it. Did work inside and out switch plates are not straight and outside outlet has never worked right.Did recessed lighting and they're not even centered. Not happy with this company.And you would think that an outside outlet that you never use would last longer than 4 years.

I had fuse that kept shorting with no reason. Tried so many things and all the electricians that we called to our home told us we need to open the wall and rewired which cost a lot. I came over this company profile on Yelp, called Steven, he came just in an hour and fixed the problem by changing my breaker which cost us wayyyy less than damaging walls and rewiring.
