As we began our kitchen renovation, we discovered all of the wiring ran thru the soffits we were removing. Steve responded to my quote request on a Sunday and sent a rep to walk the job very quickly. The rep helped us fully flesh out the lighting and outlet needs in addition to the basic need of rerouting the wires. The crew showed up on time and completed everything in less time than was estimated. They were clean, courteous and professional. The end results were fantastic. They went above and beyond for me in an emergency situation. Turns out my main breaker had to be replaced and it wasn't ghosts that were turning all my electrical outlets and fixtures on and off randomly every few minutes. They fixed it the same day. Very appreciative.

The entire crew was professional and pleasant. They all worked very hard on our very old condo. There was a long list of items to fix from our home inspection report and Tom got it all taken care of. Billy and Brian also took care of adding around 14 LED lights. I would highly recommend these electricians if you want the job done right and efficiently. I would definitely use them again, but hoping I won't need to since everything got fixed!

One of the best home service providers in our experience. Steve is a true professional who is responsive, professional, and willing to work out some ideas with you based on his expertise. He also often offers quick verbal guesstimate once you've decided what you want to do and he is pretty close to actual estimate. He and his team did all new can lights and chandelier light fixtures in our new, (40-year-old) home. The work was very fast and so clean. The prices are reasonable. His crew was very nice and friendly.

Now five months later....I had Steve come out just prior to NYE, to consult on some additional fun lighting work for the outside of our home. The day before the appointment, our electric went weird, coming in and out. When he showed up, I let him know that we have a bigger unplanned issue we'd like to have him look at. He took that news well and was able to quickly assess problem. He advised us on the steps that are needed should his assessment be correct, and that this issue was a shot electrical panel. He even had his team make call to get required appointments with ComEd (required in SOC) so we can pull permits. He didn't even push us to give him the work, knowing that we have a home warranty, but he did offer to help us work through it.

After a few calls to the (joke of a) home warranty provider, we decided we'd rather have SCE do the job because it's very important. The 'heartbeat' of our home as he called it. Then the next day our electric totally went out and luckily he was able to come by within 24 hours and jerry rig the panel for us to have 50% power until the work can be completed. So, in addition to all above, thanks to Steve, we've had a working lights, fridge, and furnace for the past week. And soon we'll have a new panel installed by a crew of folks that we feel we can trust.

I needed to get an old wired alarm system out of my house since it was outdated and I put in a new modern system. The old system had a yellowing alarm on the ceiling and the painters were coming so I wanted the old stuff out. The first electrician told me I needed an alarm specialist or likely he didn't want/ or know how to do the work. A neighbor referred Steve Cavanee. He called me back promptly, listening to the issue well and sent a guy out that afternoon. Sorry, I can't remember the technician's name (Bob?). He was great. Super efficient, fast(!!) , knowledgable, respectful, friendly. He was in and out in 15 minutes, (which was a shorter period of time the last electrician just poked around looking and did nothing.) He was able to locate the transformer in the attic, disconnect it, took my old large metal alarm box out of the closet and pulled out the alarm bell from the ceiling. Yeah! Now my painters can get everything done and those old, huge, yellowing alarm components from my old system are off of my walls and ceilings. You might pay a bit more for an hourly rate but these guys are so fast and knowledgable that they will get the job done, without having to call a second one.
