Steve and his team helped me with a very serious electrical panel issue just before Thanksgiving. I had noticed my lights in certain areas were flickering. Steve was very responsive and sent a team out to troubleshoot immediately. They arrived the same day and got to work on making an unsafe issue (replaced old electrical panel wiring that was charred and brittle) safer for my house and family. There was some additional work that needed to be done to keep my ~60 year old electrical panel safer; however, in talking over my options with Steve, it became apparent that a new electrical panel was the safest bet for my situation.

Steve and his team revisited my house to install the new electrical panel (plus upgrade to 200 amp). They did an awesome job on many fronts - installing the new panel, getting SCE to perform a meter spot check, and running the permit process with the city. They cleaned up the work area very well too. My city inspector was impressed with the work that Steve's team did and pointed out their attention to detail on things non-electricians wouldn't know about. Also, they did a great job in reducing the amount of stucco repair that needed to be done due to the new panel being installed. That's not the case in every situation in many panel upgrades as every situation is different, but I was lucky that my panel didn't need rerouting.

Overall, I was really impressed with Steve and all of the members of his team. I'll be giving Steve a call in the near future for additional work I need done. Give Steve a call and you'll be impressed with him and his team's work ethic, honesty, and integrity.

After testing and inspecting the wiring based on his suggestions, I was able to locate and correct the problem. We've been using Steve Cavanee Electric for over 30 years, for all kinds of electrical work from adding electric where none exists so that we could hang ceiling fans/lights in rooms without overhead lighting or install sconces on the walls to installing recessed lighting. In fact, we have been using them so long that they've replaced fixtures that they had installed previously because the technology improved. For example, they have changed incandescent can lights and track lights to LED fixtures. Recently they installed LED tape lights in our kitchen. The employees are very well trained, clean, and courteous. We find the prices fair to the point that we never bother getting other estimates. They also are full service in that they will retexture the wall or ceiling after doing their work. Who wants to use an electrician and then have to find someone else to fix the wall? A special shout out to Shawn, who is always very responsive.
