I've only used Steen Electric once but I like Charlie's professionalism and reasonable rate. I've left a couple of messages on his vm and he's responded in good time and because he's by himself and doesn't have a crew he's honest about not being able to take jobs as he wants to. So, if you don't have an emergency electrical need then Charlie is the guy to call.

One of my kitchen GFCIs started tripping frequently, so I called Charlie and he came out the next day with a newer GFCI, checked for other problems, and had everything back to normal within an hour. I can't ask for anything more and still recommend him very highly.

Needed a major service done at my house. A friend who was an electrician said a couple of years ago that I should replace my service panel in the future. Well, when I finally needed to do it my friend had retired. I asked for a referral, he recommended Steen Electric.

My initial call was politely and professionally returned and an appointment was set. Mr. Steen was on time and the work was done totally to my satisfaction. He took care of securing the permit and later meeting with the inspector for the sign off. We decided to have some additional work done inside, so we had him come back to install dimmers and a new LED ceiling light fixture.

I watched much of his work and he was very efficient and thorough. This electrician is highly recommended.

Monday night I heard sparks and smelled burning wire. House lights flickered but everything stayed on. Our house was the only one that seemed to have had the problem. Called PGE who referred me to 911 and then to Fire Dept. After checking that nothing was burning in the house and no downed lines appeared in the yard, it was thought one of our circuits was failing. We were advised to call an electrician and not use washer/dryer until it was fixed. I was sure we were in for a very expensive repair. I called Steen Electric. After setting an appointment, Mr. Steen advised me to have PGE come check power lines into the house. I was so glad because that was exactly the problem. The neutral line into the house had broken and burned. PGE fixed the line and everything in the house is now working normally. Even the PGE guys told me I had called a very good electrician. Though I did not need his services this time, I will definitely be calling Steen electric for future needs. Plus, I learned that just because the lights stay on doesn't mean all is fine with the lines.
