There is no better Electrician team that Star Lighting and Electrical in the Bay Area. Tim Heath and his team are by far the most experienced and professional. they are 100% focused on quality from rough to finish work.
as a real estate developer in the Bay Area, I have remodeled close to 20 homes that are from 1900's to 1980's and Tim and has crew have replaced the entire electrical for most of these homes. There is no one I trust more than Star Lighting and Electrical. I encourage you to work with Tim Heath and his amazing team.

Quickly trouble shot my problem over the phone! Simply had to reset my GFCI receptacle. Thanks Tim!!!

Great experience working with Tim and Aaron who replaced some exterior light fixtures for us. They're highly knowledgeable, responsive and courteous. We look forward to working with them on future projects.

I arrived here in CA in 2011 to oversee a large construction project for a Retirement Community/Skilled Nursing Home. I was tasked with construction oversight and finding qualified contractors to aid in completing our project. I didn't know any Electrical Contractors in the area, so I turned to Yelp to research potential vendors. I called multiple companies and I ran across Star Lighting & Electrical. They had really positive feedback and the reviews showed they had the skills that I was looking for. When we spoke on the phone, it was quickly evident to me that the gentleman I was speaking to was both knowledgeable and qualified. We started our 1st project in November of 2011 and have continued working together ever since; 12 years strong! Star Lighting & Electrical have done residential and commercial jobs for me; both large projects and small installs or repairs, and they always do a great job. Very pleased with their work.
Tim, Aaron and their team are Great!
Hardworking, Dependable, Timely and Fair.

Tim and Aaron are fantastic. They helped us relocate light fixtures, wire in wall sconces, wire the house with cable for our internet, and helped us figure out an inexpensive way to add a light switch on the other end of the kitchen (without opening any walls!). They are really good at explaining the different ways they could go about each project, and the relative cost of each one. (For example, can I live with my dining room light fixture being 1"" off center from the table so that we don't have to drill through any ceiling beams and we can keep the project far less expensive or do I want it to be perfect regardless of the cost?)
I love working with them on my own home projects, but as a Realtor, I also call them every time one of my clients needs an electrician. They have always been reliable, for both large jobs and small jobs. I have no hesitation recommending them. :)

Tim, Aaron, and other members of the team are experienced, reliable, creative and extremely hard working. They upgraded my electrical panel at the demand of Tesla for my solar roof. The upgrade was immensely complicated given the location of my existing panel over the gas main and no room around it. They liaised with PG&E, Alameda County and Tesla to determine the required new location that was within code and worked with the Tesla equipment. After numerous calls, photos, and visits, Tim was able to coordinate all parties to an agreement and then do the work to move the panel, add a roof riser, and get both PG&E and the county to sign off. In the meantime, I had Tim and team replace all of my outdated wiring, outlets and switches (my house is 1948), as well as move my inbound internet connection to the other side of my house. They also hardwired all of my rooms to improve on the poor internal wifi due to plaster walls, in addition to upgrading all my canned lighting. They completed all work within very reasonable estimates and in a timely fashion. They always communicated when to expect them, they were on time, friendly and helpful. I always felt like I could rely on them and trust them, for their work and being in my home. I have a big job in the backyard next and am delighted to have Tim, Aaron and team on my team for that job. Having service providers you can trust and that you can turn to for expert advice as well as assistance when anything unexpected turns up is invaluable. I highly recommend them for any electrical job.

I've been remiss in not writing a review for Star Lighting. I've been working with Tim & his team for at least 10 years. Great work, nice team & respectful of one's home.

First off, this business is not in San Carlos - it's in Hayward. I asked for 2 ceiling fans to be installed. Tim sent one of his workers to do the job and overcharged, which I thought was ok as long as the work was professional and clean. Unfortunately it was not. The guy left with the fans wobbling. There were also little pieces of electrical wire on my floor. He eventually came back and fixed one of the fans and apologized for leaving them the way he did, but the 2nd one he gave up on. When taking down that fan, I found one of the screws that held the mouting bracket to the light box was very loose, which was causing the wobble. What an ameteur !
I communicated with Tim and he was unapologetic and unresponsive. He apparently thinks very highly of himself but his service isn't professional quality and you would be better off hiring a handyman. Tim charges a $150 ""trip charge"" just to show up and thereafter his rates get fuzzy, depending on who you talk to at his company. All in all, I hope to never enounter such a poor service company again!

Tim and his team have done consistently great work for us multiple times on our house. Each time, his pricing really clear and reasonable.
When we bought our home, we knew we were going to remodel the kitchen and bathrooms and upgrade portions of the electrical system. Our real estate agent referred Tim, saying he was her go to guy for all things electrical. She was right, he's been great to work with.

I'm glad to see that everyone else's had such great experiences however I am not one of those people.
Tim came to my house to do a small job. At that time he insisted that the bill for previous job was not paid. I was pretty sure that bill has been paid. He insisted it had not. So based on his word I give him another check with the agreement that he would refund me immediately if he found that the bill had been paid.
He did find the bill had been paid however he did not refund me and still has not refunded the double payment.
Clearly in my book this guy are not ethical or honest.
