Company Overview
At Star Generation, we concentrate on sales, service, and repair of KOHLER generators. Additionally, we handle other brands of generators. We hold commercial certifications for KOHLER, Generac, and Onis Visa, and we are familiar with many others, including Briggs & Stratton, Onan, Cummins, Ingersoll Rand, Cat, and Olympian.
While we are a relatively new company, we have deep roots in the community. Once called Higgins Electric since 1970, the company was founded by Ray Higgins, who sadly passed away in August 2014. Rich Higgins, his son, took over the operations for two years until state licensing regulations forced licensing guidelines. This led to the creation of Star Generation, aimed at continue providing exceptional service to all our generator customers. We are thankful for our dedicated customers and are excited to greet new customers.
As an electrical contractor, I take pride in offering affordable and reliable services to my clients. Having more than 25 years of experience in electrical work and generator installation, and over 15 years as a certified technician, I have the skills and equipment needed to handle the sales, servicing, and repairs of generator systems.

Rich worked easily with the HOA and efficiently with county permitting. Both he -- and his installation crew -- were professional, exceptionally competent and timely in all phases of the project. He teamed up with the fuel company for the tank and fuel and that, too, went smoothly. He helped with the landscaping efforts and replanting of plants. His personal accessibility was virtually 24/7 for any question or concern, which of course were always resolved.
