Split Electric does not have a license. In California, you need a license to do electrical work that costs more than $500. He is operating illegally. If you ask for a license, he'll give you someone else's number.

Also we had Edward do work for us. Later another electrician said sparks were flying from our main panel because of the shoddy work he did. Do not hire him and make sure you check your contractors licenses carefully!

Split Electric (Edward) did great work replacing two light fixtures - one in garage and one in kitchen and installed another one in the garage. He also converted the a plug outlet from single to double for free. He was very efficient in getting the parts of home depot replacing and installing the equipment. Edward is highly responsive, very knowledgeable and easy to work with and provided some options. He is also flexible on payment options (some are cash or Zelle only). I highly recommend him.

I'll be breaking down this 5-star review into 3 sections; responsiveness, efficiency, quality of work, and value. This was for installation of an EV charger.

For responsiveness, Edward is insanely quick to respond and wants to make your money. He responds quick and wants to hit the ground running. His response time and responses get to the point quickly.

For efficiency, he gets in and out very quickly. He checks things very thoroughly and found a problem with my outside circuit breaker. He helped me replace this without any additional charge. If I could give him 6 stars I would.

For quality of work, it has been 6 months since his installation and things work great! There are no problems and but because this installation was in my storage unit I'm not particularly picky about how things were done and cannot attest to anything regarding aesthetics. Its metal where metal should be.

For value, he was the best price. We did have to increase the price after discovering that the scope of work would be more. But this is how things work.



TLDR; split electric is a good electrician company. No bells or whistles. In and out. Overall fantastic.

Edward and his crew from Split Electrical we're great, walking us through every step of our somewhat complicated electrical panel upgrade, particularly the bureaucratic nightmare of working with PG&E. We first hired Split to bring power to our garage and install security cameras at our new home, and will go to him for all of our electrical needs in the future, including adding outlets to our garage that we're fitting out. Highly recommend Edward and his crew!!

Split electric they are wonderful really nice guys two rooms had no electricity due to portable air conditioners I called two companies no one had the time because they were busy so I called Split electric Jesus came out to the house it needed a new electrical box. They came on Sunday morning at 8 on the dot they changed and checked every outlet put new plates through out the house. Doing this is not cheap but it's worth it.
