I purchased fan from Fandiego in San Diego. Ian was electrician from Specialty Electric who installed my ceiling fan. He was professional, friendly, efficient. Answered my questions. Very happy with service & would use again. (He also knew that photo on my wall was of castle cathedral in Prague, CZ!! )

We replaced all the light fixtures and ceiling fans in our house, 14 in total. Fan Diego, the lighting vendor recommended Specialty Electric. John was easy to get ahold of and even came to the house a week before the install date to go over everything that had to be done.

On the install date, John arrived early with his son and another electrician, Ian. All three got to work right away. So professional and friendly. One of the fixtures ended up being the wrong size. I asked John if he could re-box and return to Fan Diego, which he gladly did. They ended up spending the entire day, from 8:30 to 5:30 that evening, with no complaints.

They were conscientious of cleaning up and took all the packaging (of which there was a ton) with them, and also took all our old fixtures to be tossed out.

I would HIGHLY recommend them.

We were fortunate to have Specialty Electric come to replace a ceiling fan on a slanted beam pretty high up. Ian is a very experienced guy, friendly and communicative, plus he came when the scheduler said he would. He took down our old, heavy, 5-blade, klutzy fan, the one with the fried remote receiver, and put up the new, sleek, contemporary fan with 3 blades and a bright light. Ian was fast and efficient, cleaned up after himself, and even helped us put the old fan in the garbage can. We found Specialty because they are part of the FanDiego family, where we have bought all 13 of our previous ceiling fans. I'll give them a shoutout in another review. I might suggest that if you take my word for it and try to schedule your electrical needs with Specialty that you both call and leave a message, but also leave a text.

I had a ceiling fan that was wobbling and couldn't figure it out. I called Fan Diego (where I purchased the ceiling fan) and they referred me to John Bettencourt at Specialty Electric. He came out, immediately diagnosed the cause and fixed it within minutes. He then checked out our other fan to make sure it was functioning correctly. A wonderful experience. I'll be calling John for my future electrical needs.

John Betancourt knows his craft. Great customer service, honest estimates.

He works with Fan Diego (they sell fans), so I was expecting him to recommend a new fan or few, but he didn't! He was able to fix my problem with just some new wall switches/ controls. He asked a few questions ahead of time to see if he might have the parts on hand to fix it that day, but not quite (in my case).

He's polite, responsive, and explains things well.
