We hired Johnny a few months ago to fix an electrical outlet so we could plug in our dryer and he completely went above and beyond to get the job done. What seemed like a simple job ended up having one problem after another but Johnny troubleshot the job like a pro and didn't even charge us extra for the time he spent. Johnny is very professional and took great care in adding an outlet and HDMI port for my home theater system. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave a thorough run down of all the options we had in wiring up my projector before proceeding with the work. He and Reggie's workmanship was of a high quality. After the job was done, he brought in shop vac to clean up the little amount of dust left and even cleaned up a few cobwebs in the corner! He gave an extremely fair price. Highly recommended!

Spark came by on short notice, offered a fair price, and installed a whole house surge protector.

- To find the part he had to run around to 2 extra locations when the one that was supposed to have it didn't. The part then also cost extra, but Spark ate the cost of that, even when I offered a little extra. He said it was since that's what was on the contract.

- Friendly and a little quirky in a good way.

- Went over everything with me. I was having a whole house surge protector put in, which is probably unusual, and we went and looked through everything. He showed me how the breaker box works, what wires and areas (breaker bar) not to touch.

- He threw on some plastic covers on my somewhat exposed (and deadly if you touch it) main line connection point at no cost. Now I know what it is, and not to touch it, and I didn't have to learn that the hard way.

- We also talked about adding another breaker to separate electronics from appliances, he took the time to talk about it and how it would go, I decided to wait and knock some other stuff that falls in between the box and end point first, but probably will do it later.

- A different electrician I called told me there was no such thing as a whole house surge protector, then acted like I didn't know what I was talking about after I explained it several times, which made me question if he even knew his own job at all. When I called Spark he knew right away, came with a very reasonable quote (I knew from research), and knocked it out same day.

We were moving from Orange County to an old house from 1923 in Eagle Rock/LA, and needed an electrician to do major work before we moved. Our OC electrician was busy (and too far away to be practical), so we found Spark Electric on Yelp. Jonny met us on short notice on a Saturday, to go over the work needed. We immediately found out that he was professional, knowledgable and reasonably priced. We really liked that he was close-by, especially when we had some weekend problems. Jonny tackled all of the problems that the old, ill-maintained house could dish up. He almost thrives on the impossible. His father started the company in the 1940s, and Jonny has maintained that strong work ethic of his father's era that seems to have disappeared in todays world.

Johnny is as good as it gets. I have a $10k tilt skillet at my commercial kitchen and needed the electrical changed from a single phase to a 3-phase to make it work with the building (old building with very little power capabilities). All of what needed to happen was way over my head --- and it was also over the heads of the electricians that I originally hired to do the job. I found Johnny and he converted it, standing by his work, and even came back to do an adjustment on it an hour after I called him.

Seriously. It's rare to find someone this good.

Johnny is upfront, reasonable, fair, conscientious, and extremely knowledgeable in his field. He removed and transferred the electrical panel from inside my parents house to the outside, explaining that if we left it there and a spark were ever to occur, it could set fire to the house... good to know! He also did a great job wiring our rebuilt garage after it was demolished by a huge tree during the crazy windstorm. Johnny is our go-to guy for all things electrical.
