Very nice and came out quickly but $235 to change one gfi outlet that I provided seems very high. That does include the one time 60 trip fee. Maybe it's the going rate but just seems very high priced!

As a woman, I deal with repair and service people all the time. What I have never experience with Jim DeVault is any disrespect when it comes to explaining an issue to me. I have had some service people talk down to me. Jim is a master electrician so is very knowledgeable, he arrives on time, gets right to work, and tidies up when done. His wife Miriam schedules the appointments, so you are dealing directly with the owners of the business. Southern Voltage is the only electrical company I use.

Company very responsive & charged a $50 service call fee, but the owner advised that if we decided to have an electric plug installed on our backyard patio, it would be $375, but they would apply the $50 service fee against the $375 fee. We set up an appointment for the following week & the new plug was installed. Unfortunately, they did not give us credit for the $50 service fee as promised. When I called the office & spoke to the owners wife, she was very rude & refused to honor the $50 credit, as her husband previously stated. Know this is their real policy, regardless of what they initially promise.

Southern Voltage Electric Service is handsdowns THE best electrician in the Katy area! Jim and Miriam DeVault are the owners of this Katy business. They live in Katy and work here. Jim is a Master Electrician and he really knows so much about electrical issues. He is patient and kind and will explain things to you if you want him to. He will charge you a fair and reasonable amount and you will be pleased with his work. He shows up on time and calls if he is the least bit late. He is professional and very knowledgeable.
