For the third time in the last 12 years, my wife and I have called on Southern California Energy Services to replace the heating and air conditioning systems in three different homes that we purchased. The process was professionally completed each time by Bill and Catherine Kowertz, owners of this fine company. Their attention to detail every step of the way insured a smooth process from beginning to end. That was our experience the first time we used them and the reason we will always go back to them whenever we have a need for their services. We cannot recommend this company too highly.

Our 52 year old furnace died during the 2022/2023 cold rainy spell and resigned to get a new furnace ASAP. I called Geers Heating and plumbing and they recommended Southern California Energy Services to us. I called and everything went swimmingly from there. Bill the owner came out and inspected my dead furnace, he found that not only was the old gal dead but there was a leak in the shutoff valve. We ordered a new
Very reasonably and competitively priced top O The line Furnace that was installed within a couple of days by a team of really professional and clean installers. The actual installation took 1 3/4 work days. The very personable owner, Bill came out the following day and gave us a detailed class on the care and maintenance on the new computerized gas furnace. All in all Southern California Energy Services and everyone connected to it were professional, caring and as friendly as could be. Oh and they were responsible careful and clean. As an added bonus, Bill had his guys install a heater vent in a previously unheated 1/2 bath adjacent to the heater closet and they went so far as to match the paints color in the bathroom.

We had an issue with a recently installed air conditioning system installed by a friend of a friend. It worked great for around 3 months, then it quit. I tried to contact them but was unable to reach them and schedule an appointment. We were stressed as we were leaving town and our 3 small children were staying home with Grandma. I contacted SCES and had a technician come out and assess the issue. When he arrived, he was clean and very professional, and most importantly very knowledgeable. He discovered the unit I had was an inferior unit, and installed improperly. He made some recommendations and offered quotes to alleviate the issues. We agreed on the middle of the road unit which would address the issue, and I was amazed what a connection I had with him. Unfortunately as much as I wanted the top of the line unit, I couldn't afford it (after fertility to achieve kids). When we returned home, our kids and grandma were happy and very cool! When I opened the invoice he had adjusted the invoice to reflect the middle of road price as we agreed, (But little did I know, the tech was actually the owner of the company and installed the top of the line unit) for the middle of the road price. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting a clean, conscientious, and very professional company to address their heating and cooling needs. The owners Bill and Cathy are amazing human beings! If I could, I would give them 6 stars!

I am a little delayed in writing my review due to work, but as I sit in my perfectly cooled home as things start to heat up in Huntington Beach, I had to add a review on our central AC installation.

From first communication, to the follow up call weeks after installation was complete, we had a great experience. Bill has worked in this area for a long time and knew what issues our house would have before even taking a look. During his inspection he took the time to explain everything to us, and gave us different options in the quote. We ended up having to pull out and replace all our ducting due to it being old and insufficiently sized for efficient AC and heating.

Work took about a week and the team was on-time, courteous, and cleaned up as they worked which made for very minimal disruption in our home (for reference, we have a 4 month old child, and 2 year old chocolate lab, and we work from home). The quality of work and materials was top notch. Bill checked in regularly to make sure the job was going well.

After the job was complete, the team took the time to explain how everything worked, and even showed me where they made changes / installations so I understood how the system worked. We had a small issue where the team had to come back and re-paint a few areas where we opened the walls, but I think part of that was because I did not have the exact paint color handy. Even there, the team came back and took care of it for us the following week when they were already working on a new job.

We have used Southern California Energy Services multiple times for both air conditioning service and repair, as well as electrical repairs and upgrades. They have worked at both our home and our business. This company is phenomenal.

Cathy has always made scheduling easy and worked with our work calendar. For repairs and upgrades, Bill always checked the scope of the work, made a plan, and delivered flawlessly.

Everyone on their crew is polite, professional, and friendly. At the end of the day, the crew cleans up after themselves and always updates us on everything they have done and, if they are coming back, what the plan and schedule is for the next day.

Everyone at Southern California Energy Services is truly a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend this company.

The service was so great I bought Bill (the owner) an expensive bottle of ""spirits"" to say ""Thank You"" for his and his team's service.

Bill went outside of his normal service area to work with us. He and his team replaced our heater and air conditioner at a great price. I was blown away by the quality of the machinery.

A three day job only took two days. The guys showed up on time, COVID-19 protocol and were professional, friendly and respectful. Since I was working from home I was a little unsure what to expect. They kept me posted along the way on what they would be doing. They cleaned up every speck of the mess and I had lovely air conditioning at the end of day 2. Cathy and Bill go above and beyond to make sure that the customer service and professionalism are top notch.
