Would give zero stars if I could. Very unreliable service, constant power failures without any notice and constant screwups with repairs resulting in more down times. And when you call to inform them you get nothing but a computer that can't find your account and hangs up after 3 attempts.Edison should not be the only supplier for electricity. This monopoly does nothing but screw the average individual

SCE reps entered my property without consent, got on my roof, and turned off my power in the middle of the work day (both my husband and I work from home). They rung the doorbell just once before helping themselves to trespass--both I and my husband were on calls at the time and unable to answer the door. When I complained to customer service the agent was apologetic but gave no way to escalate the situation after multiple requests. They're lucky they have a monopoly as I certainly wouldn't use their service if I could help it.

Outage for 5 hours. We're a block away from them. ""Repair Crew on the way."" For 5 hours. Nice.

SoCal Edison does not use email or chat for the ir Customer Service contact, only telephone.
I called in to ask about upgrading the main panel for my house to charge a future electric vehicle. I was on hold for over an hour and a half, and when I was able to talk to someone, she did not understand why I was asking the question because she admitted she was not an engineer or electrician.
When I tried to explain my question, she hung up on me. I was not being rude or abusive; I was just trying to help her understand the problem.
Too bad I can't go to another electric company.

This is the absolute WORST company. If I could give a negative rating I would. I was locked out of my account for a clerical error that I had my bank call to fix and instead of helping, this company made it so it was nearly impossible to pay my bills and then charges me for their own idiocy. Also when you try to call their customer service line it will only lead you down a rabbit hole of button options and that get you no closer to fixing your issue and then they eventually hang up with you. I will be looking for an alternative company to use for my energy needs, as they are draining my wallet and my sanity. WARNING- VERY BAD COMPANY.

So beyond mad at Edison. We live in North Fontana, have lived here for 10 years. This year they decide as public safety measure that they are going to turn our power off every day or so for 2-3 days at a time. I have a 18 month old baby with very bad asthma, who requires a nebulizer. During the months of October to April is the worst for his asthma due to the winds, yet Edison continues to turn our power off and when he can't breathe I can't use his steroid and nebulizer! What the hell is wrong with Edison.

Southern California Edison is horrible! How they keep turning off our power for high winds is ridiculous!! They say it's to prevent fires, yet fires are still happening. I'm tired of no electricity, cold showers and my food spoiling. Whoever thought of this turning off power idea needs to be fired. Get your act together Edison and think of something else!

They bill you any rate they want as a surprise every month. They ""estimate"" $100 or $200 extra and plan to collect that rather than using the meter.
Most insane concept that I have ever heard of!
Plan to keep thousands of dollars spare as they make you jump through hoops to get this resolved!!!
Some other company should step up and put these guys out of business

I moved and had my mail transferred called them and informed SCE on Aug 14th and they still kept mailing bills to my old address until Sept. Your telling me with all their customer service they pay for obviously not trained right they still mail my bills to my old address and then turn my electricity off tell me it's my fault. I talk to a manager he says he will help and turn it back on at 11:59 in the afternoon and set up payment arrangements. And they still don't turn my electricity on I get home fr and m work at 10pm it's the middle of summer 105 degrees today. I have a 5 year old and I'm low income. And they still don't give a shit!! . I call well we sent the signal but there's nothing we can do if it doesn't go on we will send someone out in the morning sorry about your luck. I have been with them for 15 yrs before I moved and this is the way I get treated. Nice can you say this company has a big F in customer service and service. Thanks for appreciating your customers and working with them.

0 Zero stars. I received a letter to fax over documents and when I call the number in the letter it's definitely not user friendly. It cuts you off. Had to go on line and call another # told them I faxed over documents with sensitive information, they confirmed i sent it to the correct fax #, but it was never received!WTF?
The customer service rep said that the faxes sometimes get smudged and the documents are trashed. Then why in the hell does SCE instruct to fax!!! Just instruct to do it on line! Im really upset because I faxed over documents with sensitive information and it was a hassle to go over fed ex and fax each document and be charged... then to find out SCE never received it because most likely it was smudge on the receiving end! wish we had options to go with another service.
