Ian and his team were super responsive in taking care of the electrical problems after an SCE transformer issue took out several pieces of equipment and rendered some circuits inoperable. They showed up promptly at the time window promised, diagnosed the issue and made the repairs needed safely and professionally.

Our electricity went out. South Bay sent out a technician the day we called which was a holiday - Presidents Day. The technician investigated, found a panel I was unaware of and fixed the problem. He was there for well over an hour testing outlets and ensuring a fully operating system. I was expecting a multi-hour charge for the time he was there. Yet he only charged me the minimum 1 hour charge, which is quite reasonable. I will use South Bay for any future electrical issues or projects.

Daryck and Dru came out today and replaced two bathroom fans, 2 bathroom light fixtures, installed a dimmer switch and Ring Floodlight Camera. They were very knowledgeable and professional and did a beautiful job. We appreciate the time they took to explain how things worked and made sure the job was done to our satisfaction. The price was reasonable just as Ian quoted previously. We will definitely be using their services again in the future and recommending them to anyone in need of an electrician. Was able to call Ian at 7am and he scheduled me the same day because my fridge and other kitchen appliances had no power. His son Derek arrived and immediately knew it was one of the outlets that caused them all to short out. He rewired the faulty outlet and replaced a bad dimmer switch within less than an hour, and that included a trip to home depot. Will definetely use this company again. A++.

I was having issues with the power in my living room while the rest of the house had no power problems. I reset the breaker multiple times to no avail. I contacted the business and was called back by Ian shortly. Right away, he advised me over the phone on how to potentially locate the issue, how to resolve it safely and offered to continue assisting by texting or calling him for questions. He did say if all else failed, he can send someone out to resolve it. I was able to solve the problem by following his advice without having to use any tools.

We had a really loud surge of electricity, followed by a complete blackout in our apartment which is a part of a triplex. South Bay Electric came highly recommended by one of the other tenants and I'm so glad that Ian and his sons showed up. Turns out the wiring was so old it was from when the house was built in the 1930's and was completely not wired to code. Anyone of us could have been electrocuted!

Thankfully, SBEC was there to save the day and all 3 units were completely rewired. They even installed my wired ring cameras for next to nothing because the job was so big! Ian and his sons were very professional, all the breakers were labeled for each circuit which I was happy about and I would not hesitate to recommend them for any of your electrical needs.
