I just bought a condo in Rancho Bernardo. My Dad used Nick for some work years back. In short, Nick made the whole thing easy. I needed to upgrade my Circuit Box and had new switches and outlets put in along with under counter lighting. Jaden and Louie were outstanding! Prompt, professional and courteous at all times.

I could've found someone less expensive, but Nick was reasonable and I'll sleep better knowing the work was done right.

Nick and his team at Source One Electrical did excellent electrical work at my home. They installed can lights throughout, as well as ceiling fans, and replaced old light fixtures. Their work was clean and neat, and they were reliable as promised. Thank you Nick, Billy and staff.

So this is my first Yelp review. I used Source One Electrical last year to do electrical work on an approved (permitted) addition to my house and I couldn't be more happier with the work that was done. Professional and easy to work with is the things that I most appreciate with Source One Electrical. For the jobs that I needed done they were the best quote and easy to negotiate with. A year later they are working on another project I am doing! If you need electrical work done YOU need to give them a call and see what they can do for YOU.

going to have to give my experience with Nick a five star experience. Called him up told him I needed an outdoor plug installed on my rental property in El Cajon, also told him no rush. Got to it in a week installed it at a very reasonable price. I'm happy, my Tenant is happy everybody is happy. In fact we are probably going to hire him to install an outlet in another property we own. Will definitely use him again.

Oh almost forgot to mention that he is very friendly and easy to get along with.

My Electric went out on New Years Eve (yesterday) and I waited around for my Home Warranty to solve the problem... then realized... Um no. Those idiots left a message for a company that was closed for the holiday and the weekend. When i woke up freezing on New Year's Day I called a million numbers with no answers on this very badly timed loss of power... nobody answered. Then I remembered my friend said our mutual realtor had recommended Somone (Source one Electrical) to her. Our realtor recommends them to all of her clients and my bestie actually had her entire breaker box and wiring done by them. So I texted her and she replied with the info on Yelp and called the number.
The office phone went straight to Nick North's cell and he answered quickly.... Five stars for answering on a Holiday, right? haha Seriously though, top notch service came with this Holiday service call. He said he could come out about an hour and a half later. Then he did. Within a few short minutes he determined we had a bad breaker box, then he went to lowes and bought a new one and replaced it. He was very quick, precise and wasted no time. I usually hate dealing with hourly services because I worry about getting ripped on labor, but i tell you now that Nick runs and honest company and does quality timely work. If you're on the fence, I tell ya... just go for it with Source One Electrical! :) I'm nice and warm writing this review ON NEW YEARS DAY because Nick made the time to help me out when nobody else would. AND didn't raise the price on me knowing i was in a bind. Even if I don't get a reimbursement through my Home Warranty Company that kept me on the phone for about 5 hours today giving me the run around, Nick's pricing was amazing he was very up front the whole time.

I'm a little late getting to this review but felt that the work Source One performed deserved taking the time to write one. I called Source One to get a quote on upgrading my main service panel, Nick was able to come out quickly and give me a quote for the upgrade along potential issues moving from a 100 amp to 200 amp panel. After starting the project SDG&E informed us that the main line from the street was not in conduit and was undersized. Being on a budget I decided to cut the concrete and trench from the street to the panel myself, Nick and the guys worked with my schedule and also provided suggestions so the upgrade would go smoothly. After SDG&E signed off on the trench Source One installed the conduit and I back filled and compacted the trench, after that was complete and signed off by SDG&E it was Source One team's turn, they were very professional and accommodating to my special requests and completed the upgrade on schedule. If I have any future needs I would not hesitate contacting Nick and his team at Source One. Thanks for working with me!

This has been a frustrating experience.

When the electrician, Dan, was here and completed the work, he wrote on the service contract that he had worked for 2 1/4 hours at $85 at the site. I did not realize when I signed the service contract that the 1 hour at $125 per hour of driving was on top of this, I thought it was included in the 2 1/4 hours, since he was here for such a short time. I should have questioned him more and had him spell it out on the form, since it is a very confusing form.

When I received the invoice for the work it said 4 hours at $85. When I called the shop to ask them to explain the invoice, Hunter said that they do not charge for 1/4 hours only 1/2 hours, so I will automatically have to pay more because the worker had made an error in filling out the form. ""But not to worry because they fired the guy because he kept making errors like this."" Hunters general attitude was ""whatever""; just pay it, because we are right.

We have used this firm before and when Chris, the owner, was the electrician everything was handled beautifully. However now that the company has expanded, they do not seem to care about the client.

The work was done satisfactory, but I would go over the service contract carefully and maybe even call the head office to go over it before the electrician leaves just to make sure they do not change things later.

I met Nick in 2013 to get an estimate on replacing track lighting in my kitchen with recessed LED lights, and patch up ceiling holes. His estimate was quite reasonable for the electrical work, but not so much with the ceiling patch. Ever since then, I've been calling on Source One for all electrical work in my house. I've had Mike, Gunther, Billy, Dan and others work on different electrical jobs from replacing/installing light fixtures in the bathroom, door bell, ceiling fans and carbon monoxide/smoke alarm. The last few times, I've had Dan over to install motion sensor to an existing exterior lighting system to enhance our outdoor surveillance cameras at night. There was a glitch after a week; the motion sensor wasn't working. I called to report it, and Dan came back to check, and replaced a defective motion sensor. Dan is very patient and meticulous with his work. He was here to check on an outdoor electrical outlet that wasn't working. Dan is an electrical detective, and gets the job done. When I call Source One, I ask for Dan because I know he'll get it done. I'm happy to have found Source One Electrical. Their customer service is excellent for repeat customer, like myself. No drama! I highly recommend them.
