I had a really old electrical panel (100 amp from 1964) at my home that needed to be upgraded too a new 200 amp panel before we did some renovations in the house. I sent out some requests for quote to 10 places.

Solar System was really responsive and they were transparent about the process and they were able to schedule the job really quickly. I had some folks tell me it would be 2-3 weeks and several days. Came in the morning and finished by the afternoon. The crew did a great job with the installation and left a clean job site. Work passed inspection same day with final sign off the next day.

Our old inverter finally died after 12 years and Solar System stepped in to install a new inverter to get us back up and running in short order. Office folks and service techs were very friendly, helpful, and timely. Strongly recommended!

STAY AWAY!!! The installation was so bad, I had to hire another company to finish the job after the county inspector found a number of issues, including drilling holes in the electrical boxes and not clamping down the panels. I withheld payment and told them they have two weeks to get it fixed. Instead they just slapped a mechanic's lien on my home and won't return any of my emails, phone calls, certified letters, etc.. They also mismatched the panels to the micro-inverters so it is impossible for the system to produce the power they said it would in our contract. They screwed up the permit so many times I had to refile all the paperwork with the county myself.
There were numerous other issues. You've been warned!

11/10 would recommend this company. They made the whole process so easy for my family and kept us informed about what they were doing along the way. I love how they also offer a variety of different solar panels to choose from, unlike some other companies that I've previously contacted that only offer one standard kind. If you're looking to go green and install solar, Solar System Inc is the way to go!

Found these guys on Yelp. Began the whole process in early June, completed as of July 12. The installation was done on a Monday, Inspection on Tuesday, fully functional as of Wednesday. The longest wait was probably the permitting from the city but they took care of it all. Gave me a newer model of the panel for the same price as the older one. Thank you, Solar System team for pulling it all together so professionally!

Worked with Gerald Prasad at Solar System Inc. And found him to be very responsive to my questions and project. They did a timely and fabulous job on our home in Walnut Creek, CA. They were very knowledgeable and honest about the different systems panel brands and Energy generation we could expect.
Their follow up is great even as we approach a year after installation they are prompt with any request for information about how our system is performing.

Before calling Gerald at Solar Systems Inc. I had already had consultations from 3 other solar companies. Everyone was giving me the same numbers in regards to the size of the system that I was needing so I felt comfortable knowing that whoever I decide to go with, at least the system will give me what I would need in order to power my house equal to what I use from the grid. I won't use names but the first company that came out was very high tech with how they presented the system to me which I liked, but the consultant was way to much of a sales person and I was not comfortable with the pressure that was being put on me and the answers they were giving me sounded right out of a basic sales 101 textbook. If I want pre generated answers to all of my questions then I will just call my cable company. The next two were smaller companies however they didn't have much of a history record to show some good faith in why I should choose them, plus after learning what the latest and greatest equipment was out there they were just not showing me that I would be getting the best for the price. The forth company I reached out to was Solar Systems Inc. Gerald came over to my house and spoke to me very professionally and in a manner that didn't sound like a car salesman. He was patient with ALL of my questions and was able to show demonstrations of other systems that they installed in the past as well as what they were currently working on. The brands he was offering me were known names with great warranties too. Speaking to Gerald made my decision very simple. Once we signed the papers he was very quick to get all the permits and cross functional teams together so that the install would go smoothly. I can easily say the system was up and running about 1 month before I was expecting it to since I read a lot of stories online about solar companies having to wait a long time for their system to get turned on. Even though I purchased it in the winter (December) it has already generated power! I can't wait to see what it'll start generating once spring is here. I was so pleased with the entire purchase and install that we are now looking to put another system on another property.
Here is the bottom line. There are a lot of good solar companies out there and I'm quite certain they will give you exactly (or close to) what you are wanting in a system. As for me I want more than a great system, I want the professionalism and knowledge that comes with it. And the point of contact that you have from whatever company you choose to go with should hopefully give you the same that Gerald and Solar Systems Inc. gave me. If you are looking for a great experience start to finish then I recommend calling Gerald. I'm certain he is growing a huge customer base with his honesty and compassion that comes with the job!

They are reliable business people that you can trust. The have great workers that knows how to install the system and completes it in a timely manner. The installation at my house was done within 3 days! Great team, trusted people!
