I hired Tibor to do 5 different jobs (of various degrees of difficulties) around my house. I was very happy with his workmanship. He wouldn't take shortcuts or agree to anything that was not according to code. He was reasonable and honest and didn't try to upsell, add, or modify the original agreement even when new things pop up which they always do especially with 5 items.

My husband blew the power to our condo and since it was 9:30 pm, I had to call an after hours electrician which was Snell Electic. Over the phone Tibor quoted me $105 for the trip charge and $60 per 1/2 hour of fixing the problem.
When he arrived, he did some troubleshooting and told us that he needed access to the main electrical switch and that it would cost us $300 if he restores the power. What?! So basically he tried to price gauge us when he knew we would be defenseless and needing the power restored. What happened to $60 per 1/2 hour? Really though? $300 to flip a damn switch?
We didn't know where the main electrical panel to our community was so we paid the freaking trip charge and sent him on his way!

Called Snell a 7:45pm on a Tuesday evening. I had a bad light socket in a bathroom that needed fixing/replacing. He was at my door by 8:00pm and had the problem fixed by 8:15pm. Yes, there was a service call fee and a repair fee that totaled $100. But, it was well worth it for the instant response in the evening and the ""no messing around"" approach. I would use him again.

I had a problem with my doorbell so I called Snell. The electrician, Tibor told me that he could be at my house in about 1-2 hours.. He called me prior to his arrival which was prompt. Tibor explained the pricing and process. He was honest and fixed the problem, pronto. He is a no-no-nonsense guy who worked quickly and got to the root of the problem.

I was having trouble with a ceiling light and was concerned that the trouble might be in the wiring behind the wall. I called Snell and he showed up later that afternoon and proceeded to tell me that it would be $100 to diagnose the problem. It was a Saturday so I thought ok seemed high, but acceptable. Once he found the problem it turned out to be fairly simple rewiring of the light fixture for which he charged me and additional $150. It literally took him 10 minutes to diagnose the problem and another 10 minutes to make the repair and that was with me handing him parts and tools that he kept dropping. The light fixture was not re-installed properly and is now loose and not snug up against the ceiling. This guy is grossly over priced and has poor workmanship. I would not under any circumstance hire him again.

If it wasn't for my landlord I would have fired this guy the 1st day! He was rude and abrasive always in a hurry, offensive beyond belief and regarding his schedule he could have cared less about yours, it was all about his time. When he was in my home he ordered me around, the guy was the rudest person I've ever encountered. I wouldn't even give this guy one star but didn't have a choice. He made sure he rushed the job to get his check and then had to come back a few days later saying he didn't finish the job, when we thought it was finished. An thats when he showed up unexpectedly telling me he needed to spend more time to finish the job. As well as showing up at my home without any appointment ringing the door bell like a crazy person because again, he was in a hurry. I wouldn't recommend Tibor Sarkany to anyone. Sorry to say this is the very 1st person I've ever written a negative review for ...

I too had a horrible experience. This man is a CRIMINAL. NEVER NEVER NEVER use this company for any electrical problem you have at your home. I needed a GFI outlet replaced in my kitchen. I had the new GFI but I was missing a connection so I had to call for help. Tibor came out, wrote the contract for $67.52 for the service call and to troubleshoot, $68.50 per 1/2 hour, no problem. The GFI was in and working within 10 minutes. As I was writing the check, he proceeded to open this white binder and flip to a page that had a price list. He NEVER showed me this price list before the work was started. He charged me an additional $128.09. $244.00 for a $20 GFI outlet replacement. I called the company to complain to the owner and kept asking to speak with the owner and always got the run around. Come to find out that Tibor is the owner. I would NEVER pay that much for a stupid plug. I was alone at home at the time and was very nervous that this CRIMINAL was in my home ripping me off. I was scared to tell him to go to hell.
A very expensive lesson to learn. Always remember that there are dishonest people still praying on needy people everyday.

I called him to fix an issue with the wiring in a switch box in the garage. He was there in about 45 minutes after I called him. He shows up and tested the circuit and found out an wiring in the switch box was bad. I thought I had to pay $100 for the service call and troubleshooting. He turns around an tells me it's going to cost me $300 to troubleshoot & repair faulty wiring. Giving him 3 stars since I felt that this is a rip off but I couldn't find anyone that could come over to take a look at the issue today. He only spent roughly 45 minutes of working on this problem and charged me $300.

Nice service and very reasonable price. These guys are true professionals and they are fast and could complete putting 5 LED recessed lights with dimmers in 3 rooms in my house together with putting a garage light switch all in one day time for a very reasonable cost.

In October, we experienced an electrical problem in one of the outlet in the bedroom. We found Snell Electric in the YellowPages. The original appointment was set at 8:30am the next morning. Tibor Sarkany, the owner of Snell Electric, showed up, but was in a hurry mode. After he promptly inspected the issue we found in the bedroom, he quickly presumed that there is something wrong with the circuit breaker switch. He said he can attempt to do a quick change on the switch for us (for a cost, of course), but will not guarantee such fix will resolve the problem. Without any other choice, we hesitantly allowed him to change the switch. The new switch did not solve the problem at all! He quickly removed the replacement part from the circuit breaker, and said that he could not stay long as he claimed there was a family emergency. ""So what do we do now? How are we going to solve the problem?"", we asked. He said this may require crawling into the attic to find the root cause of the problem. It will take a lot of time, and he can't do it now, because he has to leave immediately. We said OK, and he scheduled with us to return at 2:30pm.
When 2:30pm rolled around, he was a no show. We waited until 3:15pm, and then we decided to outreach to him to find his whereabouts and asked if he will return to finish the task. On the phone, he, again, sounded like he was in a rush, and reluctantly came back for the task. When he arrived, he explained the diagnostic procedures needed to be done, and started ""complaining"" it would be a ""tedious"" and ""challenging"" job to replace the entire box including all the circuit breaker system, and perhaps having to crawl into the attic in such warm weather. With all the complaints, it was very clear to us that he had no intention of taking on the job. But before he headed to the door, he shoved us an invoice for $100 to cover for the inspection fee. What?!?! He behaved very impatiently, provided poor service, yet he expects payment? WTF!!! He did not even do a thing, wasted our entire day and had the nerve to charge us $100.....and with lots of drama...This is no way to do business!!!
Finally we found Mr. Sparky and we received completely different services. The problem was fixed and we paid very reasonable price. Thanks God!
