Snappy Services - Electric, Plumbing, Heating & Air
Company Overview
Located in Marietta, GA, Snappy Services - Electric, Plumbing, Heating & Air is dedicated to serving our local community. We employ local technicians and installers who understand your needs, providing prompt and trustworthy service. We are proud to be an A+ rated member of the Better Business Bureau, committed to exceptional customer service, licensed professionals, and high-quality products. Our services cover your entire home, including plumbing, electrical repairs, air duct sealing, home energy audits, and more. To meet the changing demands of our clients, we have broadened our range of core services.
Established in 2005, Snappy Services has been serving the community. For years, an out-of-state entity managed our operations and pricing. Although they helped us stay updated with technology, the remote relationship led to a lack of connection with our local clients.
Recently, I, Adam Bunyard, the current general manager and one of the original team members from 2005, acquired the company with my wife. Although our team and infrastructure were strong, we understood the necessity for a more community-focused approach and adaptable pricing. We aim to ensure that our current warranties and customer relationships will benefit from enhanced service, as we will uphold all warranties throughout this change.
Since our arrival on Yelp in July 2017, we are eager to prove ourselves and earn your business.

I knew what our problem was, it was extremely obvious - our spigot outside the house was leaking. The ""plumber"" never touched it, barely looking at it. But immediately told me their service included checking all the fixtures in the house. I don't care about anything in the house, I KNOW what my problem is. This guy was so much a salesperson I question if he was actually a plumber. He tried to sell me in their HVAC, electrical and plumbing annual contracts. He told me all the things that were wrong, except our initial issue. Then said in the preparation of time, he'd give me a quote for the issue I had, not the 10 ""other"" things. $300 more than previous quotes, I paid my ridiculous $59 fee and told him to be on his way. A $59 fee for him to do NOTHING on our problem, not even touch it. Will never call again.

So here is a story about shady scare based sales practice, their technician came to tune the furnace and did absolutely nothing, disrespected my wife and made a comment that he is condemning the furnace and gave a list of issues half of them which were not even applicable. He even argued about the price which was in a flyer. So today I had another technician from another company for a second opinion and found out the Snappy technician was full of shit. My recommendation is never to use this company as they are not trustworthy. All they want to do is try to sell you new system by scare tactic. You should be ashamed of yourself Snappy...

I had to have them come out twice to fix the same issue which is a pain but I understand will sometimes happen. The low rating is due to the way in which the second ""repair"" was treated. The woman on the phone never acknowledged nor apologized for the fact the issue wasn't resolved the first time. The technician was condescending in explaining what he felt was wrong the second time and I'm not feeling reassured that the problem is indeed fixed. And when I asked if, in fact, I needed the needed the new switches that had been installed at the first visit (since that clearly didn't fix things) he said this trip was ""no big deal.""

DO NOT USE THEM.. Tech came out on Thursday, said I need a New Evaporator Coil $1,500, then said it was a difficult job would need additional help $289, also I would need Additional Freon at $645 plus $249 for some type of Mandatory Procedure fee Continued to try and sale me a Maintenance Plan for $25 a month. TOTAL COST WAS GOING TO BE $2,708
I have a Lennox Model 14ACXS036-230A20 that is only 16 months old. I thought this was kind of crazy so I got another company (Shumate) to come out. This tech who has been doing this for 18 years said my outside electric breaker was off, the cap to my coolant had been remove. He checked all the components to include Coil and said all I need was Refrigerant and to turn the breaker back on. He did add 2 pounds of Refrigerant along with service call total $300. I now have nice cold air.
Snappy is a big RIP-OFF,,, do not use them..

We had an appointment with Snappy to begin maintenance on our AC unit. The time scheduled was between 8-9 am. At 7:15 we get a call asking to confirm our 8 am appointment. We get out of bed, make coffee, begin our day and wait. At 8:55 he still wasn't there so we called the office to inquire.
All had gone okay until that phone call - even the tech who called to confirm was fine. But the woman with the smoker's voice who answers the phone... Phew. Snappy, get you a new receptionist. What a big B she was! Rude, abrasive, short. She hung up on us at the end, not even with a goodbye or thank you or anything. Just... gone. So yeah, we won't be using this company. Not a good impression.

We were having some plumbing issues at our house and heard good things about snappy. Boy did we hear wrong.
We booked a plumber and he at least came out the same day. When the plumber arrived, he briefly looked in the crawl space but basically told us that nothing was wrong. We questioned this because our toilets were making strange noises, intermittently clogging, etc. He made us feel dumb for even calling and reassured us that nothing could possibly be wrong since we had PVC piping. He charged us the diagnostic fee and went on his way.
Over the next week, we started to smell the unholiest smell coming from the crawl space. We assumed it was an animal or something - since the plumber said everything was 'fine.' But it became unbearable. I decided to crawl down myself, only to find a MASSIVE sewage leak that snappy missed. I'm talking an open pipe flushing directly into the crawl space floor. I should have went down with the plumber the first time.
We called them back and snappy sent out another plumber who basically told us that the first guy must have not even looked. Since we kept using the toilet, the problem was much larger than it was a week prior. Several thousand dollars, water remediation, and new pipe fixtures later, we had everything cleaned everything up.
It would have been nice to not flush raw sewage under our house for an entire week. I've reached out to snappy multiple times to try and recoup at least the initial diagnostic fee that we were charged by a lazy plumber, but a manager is always conveniently unavailable. Still waiting for them to ""call me back"" over 6 weeks later.
Save yourself the money, the headache, and book with another company.

Update to my comment on 7/11/2016.
It is May 2018 and I was just notified that Snappy responded. I am not sure what the company who eventually ended up repairing my unit did, but I can tell you that I have not had a problem with the unit in the two years that it was repaired. Snappy offered to return my fee of $69 (there was no limitation on this) and I will take them up on this offer. Please contact me at [email protected].
I will return to edit and reevaluate the review when and if I am ever refunded.

We have used Snappy several times in the past and they have always been very helpful and have done good work. In October we called Snappy to have a furnace installed. The furnace is located in the Attic; it couldn't fit so the installers had to remove the molding from around the attic door so the new furnace could fit.
The installers installed the furnace properly and was very courteous and helpful before they left the house. Soon after they left we noticed the poor job the installers did to reattach the molding around the door of the attic.
We called Snappy back and complained, they indicated they would have someone come back out and fix the problem immediately. Sometime later someone from Snappy came, but he could not fix the problem himself. When he called the problem in to the home office they advised him they would contact a vendor to come out to install the molding properly.
My last call was today, January 5, 2018. The furnace was installed in October and we have been calling Snappy and their vendor several times and nobody has ever come to help us. The lady (Sherry) at Snappy's home office is just plain rude and she doesn't care. I'm actually ashamed of myself to have put up with such unprofessionalism by someone with no tact, rudeness and has undesirable nasty disposition; she shouldn't be in the job she is in. She has things to me like ""What do you expect me to do about it"" ""It is not us it's the vendor you need to complain to!"" ""I'm not given you the owner's phone number; you don't deserve it!"" and not to mention she hung up on me in December. I called today to let her know one last time the vendor that was supposed to come to the house never showed up; after he said he would be right over after his last job; and her response was ""What do you expect me to do about it"" and then she attempted to give me the number of the Vendor I already had to rush me off of the phone. When I told her I wasn't going to call him again she said ""What is the purpose of your call?
I'm not only tired, but disappointed we have been treated so poorly after such great service we received in the past. I have nothing more to say.
John

They may be very reliable and competent in all fields of work but with fees of $49.00 per trade estimate, the price just to get quote can add up. I elected to go with firm that offers free estimates.

My carpet was wet the leak they said it was coming from the master bathroom it was suppose to be fixed this was on a Saturday then they came out Monday to dry the wet carpet and now on Tuesday it's soaking wet again like the leak was never fixed. There is nothing snappy about there service this is who you call if you DO NOT want your problem fixed. I talked to Stacey she had a smart mouth the earliest they come out is 8am the latest is 4pm. So that would require me to leave work early or go in for work late but if they would have fixed the problem in the first place I wouldn't have the same problem
