Smith Electric came out to do first an inspection of load calcs for a new Tesla and NEMA 14-50 adapter, and Dave was super communicative and very friendly. Even said hi to my 3-year old daughter when he came in the house to check some of the appliances. Great first impression!

A couple of days later, another person came back to install the plug in the garage, and it literally took about 30 minutes. He was in and out in a jiffy, and of course, it worked! Super thankful for this service and quick turnaround time, since the Tesla came in a little earlier than expected.

Smith electrical came out to our house in Lakeside last week to upgrade our electrical panel in preparation for our transition to solar. We are beyond pleased with the job that Mike did. He arrived on time, was extremely polite and knowledgeable and cleaned up everything, leaving the area he was working in tidy and neat. Had a 240 outlet put in today for the Tesla I just bought. The service with Smith was great. They worked around my delivery schedule and Joseph and Juan just installed the outlet. Joseph and Juan were very personable, explained everything well, and the outlet installation went well. I would highly recommend them.

I had a tesla wall mount installed through Smith Electrical and everything went smoothly until the wall mount stopped working. I contacted them again and they quickly came to my rescue to test the unit to find out that it was the tesla unit itself had gone bad. Renee ( I think this is how you spell his name) stayed past his allotted time to install a new charger which I was extremely thankful for! Talk about above and beyond! This kind of service is why I would recommend them to the next person! Also the receptionist Sarah who was awesome, she made sure she found an electrician close by who could help me ASAP! There can be many obstacles when upgrading electrical/solar panels and we worked quickly through everything with the help of Smith Electric and Solar City. The Electrician from Smith Electric worked with my boyfriend, who is an Electrical Engineer, so that we could cut some costs and get the work done in a day. As a Union a Electrician which I properly went to an apprenticeship with proper training I can say for the short term that I was employed with them I feel Smith Electric hires new hires and puts them through a mini training class most of the electricians that work there aren't Certified and are electrical trainee's certified by Ca easy to get a trainee cert. I can't believe Solar City actually uses them. I hope cheer shops will start to see the quality of Smiths work l. Recently Smith Electric implemented a Forman man power to handle the owners work load to take care of quality control but you can't hire someone and train them into an electrician in 2 weeks it takes 5 year apprenticeship to become a certified electrician.

Smith did our main panel upgrade for Solar City.
They had to remove the stucco from around the panel to put in the new one. They did a 5 star job by far, everything works great and the match on our old stucco is dead on. You can not tell where they took out the stucco at all.
If you want it done right call these guys you won't be disappointed.

We recently purchased an electric vehicle, and Smith Electrical were one of the electricians recommended to us by the vehicle manufacturer, to install a home charging point.

We contacted them and one other electrician. Dave Smith (CEO and owner of the company) came to our home himself to assess the installation and provide a free estimate. His quote was very comparable to his competitor - in the range of $1,000 for a fully permitted installation. We decided to go with Smith Electrical, because they were offering solid conduit which seemed more sturdy than the flexible conduit proposed by the other electrician. Additionally, Dave was very knowledgeable about the process and confidently assessed our electrical system, which is in an older home and has been complicated by several remodels. The whole process with Smith was highly satisfactory.

They communicated very well with us, and also with each team member involved. They arrived on time for the installation, the work was carried out carefully, tidily and conscientiously. Cleanup was immaculate. Inspection by the City was arranged very quickly and the installation was approved immediately. The office staff are friendly, helpful and responsive. In summary, these guys are total professionals, and I would highly recommend them for any electrical project. We will certainly contact them in future for electrical work in our home.
