I went through many companies associated with American Home Shield and Smart Choice Service is the only company I would request. I had the pleasure of meeting Bogdan and he was on time so I didn't wait around all day. He quickly identified the problem and fixed our freezer. Bogdan knows what he is doing and got the repair done quickly. We got to enjoy the freezer again thanks to Bogdan.
Bogdan is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I dealt with some horrible and dishonest service with other vendors and service techs through home warranty. But Bogdan restored my faith in honest and respectable service.

MY WASHER WENT OUT ON 10/30/2024.
* First time Yaroslav come out on 11/06/2024,to fix the washer . His diagnostic was "" WE NEED 3 PARTS FOR THE WASHER "" which were replaced on 11/20/24 by Viktor. after replacing the parts , he neede now , ANOTHER PART , ""THE ELECTRIC BOARD ""
* On 11/29/24, Viktor, replaced the electric board
Still not WORKING. He need another part , this time a new MOTOR .
He come around 1 pm, left around 1:45 pm, to get the motor.
NEVER RETURNED, NEVER CALLED US to let us know what is going on
SOFIA the supervisor is useless.

Excellent. Usually the companies that come through American Home Shield home warranty suck, so I was pleasantly surprised when this appliance company came out and fixed the freezer side of my refrigerator when 4 other companies failed, including one previously from the home warranty (AG Appliance, you suck). They did the most professional follow-through I experienced through the normally sucky home warranty. They also fixed my refrigerator light bulb. I guess it helped I filed a regulatory complaint against the American Home Shield home warranty. The home warranty's PLUMBERS absolutely suck, don't use them, they will cause more problems or try to charge you for things not covered just to make more money. But this is the one quality company that came through the home warranty.

I had high expectations based on the reviews but was disappointed. Our furnace stopped heating the house and the thermostat seemed glitchy. The first technician said that the thermostat wasn't installed incorrectly despite it having worked fine for years, then he checked the furnace and replaced the filter. Fine. Seemed ok. However, whatever he did didn't last and the next day we had a cold house again. It took another week to get them out again and this time they blamed the lack of heat on poor insulation despite the furnace working fine for years until now. This was through my home warranty company, so maybe they feel they don't get paid enough to actually fix things.

Allen was great. It took a couple visits to complete our repairs (washer and dryer both) but he was a courteous, professional service tech and I would definitely use him again. Smart Choice doesn't always answer the phone, my only reservation, but I have a feeling this true of the majority of repair companies. I had a bad experience with a different appliance repair company so I'm happy Smart Choice is the company my home warranty company is now using.

I used their service through First American Home Warranty, and they did a great job. I had an issue with my dryer. Initially, First American sent another company that labeled it ""damaged"" to avoid warranty coverage for a small dent my dryer had. So, I requested a second opinion and was assigned Smartchoice. However, Bogdan was very helpful and genuinely wanted to fix the dryer, understanding the impact a broken dryer can have on a family. He took photos of the actual issue and resolved my warranty claim by getting approval for the needed parts. Bogdan exceeded expectations for customer service. I highly recommend him and will request this company in the future.
