EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!

I will say this and I don't blame the guy who came he's just the Peon to the owner. Light switch $10 at store.. Needed 5 of them cost me $400 for 35 mins of work. I hung around to see what the guy did so I can learn. This was an expensive course but next time I can do it on my own. I tipped the guy who fixed the problem he was a nice guy.

I am writing to commend the electrical services received from Nathaniel. This young man came to my house and single-handedly fixed all of my ceiling fan issues, which included the installation of an extension downrod to lower the fan from the ceiling and replacing the wall switch. I was highly impressed with his workmanship and it's refreshing to hire someone who is incredibly competent in their craft. Nathaniel also helped to explain how to restore the power to my electrical outlets in the master bathroom that had tripped by resetting the GFI switch located in my other bathroom. I was grateful for this guidance (and not requiring a repair). I would absolutely welcome an opportunity to do business again with Nathaniel and Small Jobs Electric as a returning customer in the future. To even suggest that Nathaniel went above and beyond is a sincere understatement. Lastly, I recommend working directly with Amanda of the front office on addressing your scheduling and repair needs.

be very careful with whomever the company sends to your home. I had a simple security light to put up. He quoted me 120, I said fine since you are here ( i had originally needed quote for 30 amp outlet for Generator)..I than said to the tech "" how about if you attach it to the far end of the roof,,he said it would be 225...the original security light was previous owner...NEVER THE LESS..he said he would have to add a breaker which is most the increase..30 MINUTE PASS AND I STOP HIM ON HIS WAY BACK TO HIS TRUCK AND I SAY "" HEY, WE ARE STILL AT 2 AND CHANGE ""RIGHT?"" HE SAID YES ...for the last 30 minutes while he was cleaning UP I CONTINUED TO ASK HIM THE TOTAL I HAVE THE CHECK IN MY HAND ...he kept saying need to do in his truck./...he hands me a bill for six hundred and change ...""WHAT""....i SAID YOU KNOW WHAT YOURE TRYING TO PULL DONT YOU DARE DARE ttry to spin this...HE then said fine i will just eat the time bill u 290 "" i said dont try you game with me YOUNG Man...i wrote a check for 300 and said YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF...NOW I KNOW WHY YO DONT WORK FOR YOURSELF,,,YOURE COMFORTABLE RIPPING WEAKEER PEOPLE OFF
..........besides destroying my under eave while he was running up wire he did install the 30 dollar light TO satisfactory..i paid him DISGUSTED IN THIS MAN...HE KNOWS WHO HE IS...AND HE KNOWS WHAT HE TRIED...P.S. to think i was trying to throw him a bone for coming over to my home initially because I only wanted a quote on the 30 amp inlet installation w/ interlock ( 2900)...If he so dares to get bold and question anything I have I WILL UPLOAD OUR TAPED conversation when I asked him ""we are still 2 and change, right?""

Excellent techs, reliable, professional, great prices. I had a question after hours the day after service and they had the same tech who visited call me right away. We've used them several times. They always go above and beyond.

Don't do it. The office is a mess, didn't do what they said they would. Work was finished Oct 4, but they didn't get the final inspection scheduled for almost 3 wks. I called and txtd several times trying to get them to schedule a final inspection from the county. Dragged on and I had to remind them that Columbus Day was a holiday, they said it was scheduled for the day after Columbus Day. Columbus day came and they called me to tell me the permitting office was closed, that they hadn't called to make that appointment the previous week like they said they did, and we wouldn't get the final county inspection for several more days. I had to badger them with constant follow up phone calls until they had their accountant hand walk the paperwork through the county permitting process. She came to my house and handed it to me, but it was too late. The electric work was part of a kitchen remodel on a rental, the cabinet installers pushed me back until after Thanksgiving. I lost my renters. I lost the money for background checks, advertisement and two months rent. A little over 2 thousand dollars I lost out of pocket because of their office. The electric work was finished 11 days before the scheduled install, plenty of time for them to arrange a final inspection. BTW, the electric work was good, passed inspection the first time. But it was at the cost of a two thousand dollar learning experience.

I overlooked the bad reviews and decided to give small job electric a try.
What a mistake! They are easy to schedule but mislead you to quote simple repair over the phone. So I have a light and fan flicking problem in my master bedroom which wasn't of big emergency but still I wanted to have it fix. The young lady did mention that electrician would come, diagnose the problem and quote me the price accordingly but instead he came asked me the problem and showed me the pricing chart for any work they do by the age of the house build around $300. I was surprised and quickly correct him that the problem is only in our on/off switches have loosen wires coz a guy I hired to do my pool work knew little about electricity but wasn't certified to do any work.
After listening from us the simple repair they scare us with the things that might cause big disaster later so they can't just fix the simple repair they would need to check my breaker, open the fan and all, which make no sense but one guy said (owner) that if it is simple repair just with the switch than they will charge me fairly and not the chart price. So I allow them to start the work knowing that simple switch fix and here we go listening all the bad work and mess the previous electrician did and repair the switch. Open the fan and found nothing just the wires were joint with tapes which they fixed with wire caps. Checked all the switches in my room and than after everything came to say all set and if i am ready to pay for work. So when I checked the bill they charge us an arm and a leg around $500 even after discount just for two switches replace (one with burnt wire) and dispatch fees $49 (which good businesses include in the work). They calculated the amount wrong on the bill almost $75 over charged us. Top it all they didn't even fix my flicking lights and we end up calling them back right away to fix it properly. Where the owner came back after two hours and wasn't apologetic about the work and have guts to tell us that they won't charge me extra for coming back for the same job. They are not only unprofessional but unrealistic with their prices too. Don't hire them!

I had some electrical done at my residence (2) different times for different items that I wanted done. Both times electrician Adam and his helper were excellent, on time, he explained how he was going to do everything that I wanted done before he started doing them. Was very concerned and asked how I wanted things located. Gave professional suggestions on codes that needed to be followed. Gave insight and ways of the different types of lighting and switches that I could use to better control what I needed to be controlled. Adam was very polite, very professional, very knowledgeable in what he was doing. I am going to have him back again when I need more things looked at. This company is very reasonable in price, good quality of work and the products that they use. I would recommend Adam to any one. The company should be proud that he works for them.

$49 just to get a quote? Really?

I was told that I couldn't even get an estimate by email, even though I had a report showing everything that needed to be done.

FYI Management -- I don't even know if you are reasonably in my price range, so why should I throw away $49 if you're not?

It is not easy to schedule with this company!

The give you a 2hr window and require the homeowner to be present. Even for a quote on something outside the building. They are not at all flexible with this. We own and/or manage over 1000 rental units. Your loss.

I sat and waited for 2 hours and no one showed up for the appointment.

I understand what may work best for your business but it does not work for me as a customer. You earned this 1 star today !!

Update. They called me at 3:10 letting me know the electrician was there. I left at 3 as our appointment was between 1-3.

The young lady was very rude and wanted to argue with me about MY experience! She interrupted every sentence I tried to speak.

So now I'll continue my complaint efforts with the BBB!

As you can see from their other responses to low reviews. They DO NOT Value the customer or their opinion!!!

This company was great to work with and got the job done. I had a really strange problem (un-traceable electric circuit which was dead) and called the original home builder for our 20 year old home; they put me in touch with the original electrical contracting firm who told me they only do ""warranty"" work for consumers. That electrician gave me a couple of other names but neither of those firms even bothered to return my calls.

Small Jobs Electric has several in-house employees to answer calls (no voice mail) immediately, set-up an appointment and advise on the basic pricing ($29 to $49 to come out and quote the job; varies based on type of work). It was a Tuesday and the earliest appointment was the following Monday at 9am; I asked if they could put me a wait-list in case of a cancellation. They called me both Wednesday and Thursday with short-notice openings; unfortunately, I couldn't take advantage. On Friday they called and told me they had an opening at 1:30 in afternoon which worked for me. The tech (Tre) arrived right on time. He looked over my job and quoted me from a pre-printed estimate sheet (based on the type of work and age of my home). However, he found the problem in just a few minutes and offered a discount from the original quote. I was delighted. A very fair price for the job and the electrician was very professional. I will gladly use them again.
