Samuel installed an electric line to power my water heater last year and did a fantastic job - it's still working with no issue as expected.

Recently I had an unrelated issue with an GFCI outlet that kept tripping when we ran some household appliances simultaneously. We weren't sure which outlets shared a current or breaker, but after some experimentation we replaced the faulty outlet ourselves as a first pass. I called Samuel for an assessment and he was nice enough to stop by and diagnose.

He helped us do some tests to confirm which outlets were connected to what breakers. The problem stopped happening by itself when he stopped by and didn't end up needing servicing. He also gave some advice on appliance configuration, how to not overload the circuit, and secondary troubleshooting we could do on our own before calling him again.

I appreciate how customer focused, trustworthy, and great communication - he'll definitely be getting more of my business and recommendation to friends!

We recently worked with Sam and his team to install recessed Lightings in apartment. Sam was really quick to answer our questions. A few weeks ago, I hired someone on Yelp to fix my circuit breaker box. Yesterday night, the power started to partially go out and the circuit breaker box started sparking and sizzling. This electrician didn't reply to my text or phone call. In need of immediate help, I made several calls based on Yelp reviews. Samuel called me back right away and had his colleague Josue come ASAP to assess the situation. After further inspection, he noticed that a few connections were loose. He tightened some bolts and tested the box. He was here less than 20 minutes and left with my problem easily solved. Fast, professional and reasonable - I highly recommend SL Electric.

One of the recessed lights in my office stopped working. Sam came out and determined the issue was the bulb. I live near one of his suppliers and he went and purchased the correct bulb and installed it. He then helped mov the other recessed lights to improve the lighting on my desk. I finally feel like I have a functioning desk! He showed me how to work the reset button and clearly explained the problem. He was timely, professional, and contentious. I just bought a condo and I had a lot of electrical upgrades I wanted to do (Tesla Wall Connector, sub panel replacement, additional outlets, additional lighting). Samuel was able to understand my vision and quickly got back to me with an estimate over Yelp. Sam is really responsive to message over Yelp and text messages and was a breeze to work with. Sam and his team did a great job running all the new rough electrical work over 4-5 days, another ~2 days of finishing work, and another ~2 days of inspections over 7 weeks. Sam is a great communicator asking me questions as work is done, provided great knowledge on best placement of the new lights and provided important knowledge to make sure we're up to code. Sam attended all the electrical inspections with the City of San Francisco and provided the electrical load calculations of our residence to satisfy the city's requirements to pass the inspections. Samuel did an excellent job for my house and I hope to hire SL Electric again for my future projects.
