I needed some electrical repairs done on my condo and called Rios Electric yesterday. Sonny came out first thing this morning and had everything repaired/replaced in no time. He had all the equipment needed (unlike another electrician awhile back), cleaned up behind himself, and gave me a fair price. I plan to use Sonny in the future and highly recommend Rios Electric.

Very impressed with Sonny's fast response and thoroughness. We had removed an outside light post but had no idea where the wiring was connected. Sonny called back about an hour after we left a message, even though it was Sunday. He came out the next day and spent a lot of time and effort tracking down where the underground wiring was coming from. He didn't give up until he found it and confirmed it was disconnected.

May be I got a bad lemon.
Looking at yelp reviews, I called this company for estimate.
I have fairly medium project of home remodel, not small odd job kind.
He was willing to come quick for estimate. But I was quite disappointed to note that he charges for his estimate !
I really wonder how other Yelp reviewers got around this.

I have found an electrician I will not hesitate to use again. Based on his excellent yelp reviews, I called Sonny this morning to come and rewire part of our kitchen in prep for installing a new gas range. He came the same day and quickly assessed what needed to be done and then completed the work it great fashion. The job turned out to be a little more complex than I described on the phone, it didn't phase him at all. Great electrician you can trust with any job.

Sonny is freakin' awesome!

I got several quotes for the job, and he was one of the lowest. I went with him because he sounded like a personable guy over the phone.

He came out to look at the job and kept his word on the price. (We were changing out the Zinsko panel and moving the microwave to a dedicated circuit) He then found a whole other panel under our staircase that I had no idea about, and saved me even more money by putting the microwave on that panel instead!

I wish he did more than just electrical, because I would definitely continue to use Sonny for handy work around the house!

A contractor who knows his stuff. I called Sonny on a Saturday and promptly returned my call. I wanted to wait until the workweek began again on Monday, so I decided to wait to return his call. I phoned him during my recess (I'm a teacher so it's either make these calls during recess or lunch) and Sonny picked right up. I described the issue and Sonny outlined a couple scenarios and gave a quick quote. He was busy during the day (which was OK with me being that I was teaching), so I asked him if he could come at 4:30PM that same day. No problem. Sonny showed up with a smile, clean professional truck and a firm handshake. Showed him the issue and he went to work. Within 15 minutes he diagnosed the problem and addressed it and was on his way again. Before he left he pointed out some issues that we should address at a future time. Sonny is a quality electrician.

Whoohoo! As good as it gets!
Called Sonny on Friday Memorial Day weekend after the power in my bedroom shorted out.
He arrived on time and completed the work in about an hour. He explained what he was doing and even showed me the burnt wires. Price was very reasonable considering the work he did and that it was on a holiday weekend. Very friendly and funny couldn't ask for more. Definitely recommend SJ Rios Electric.

The most knowledgeable and efficient electrician in the area. Sonny came by my house and gave me an estimate on the same day I called. He showed up the next day on time then did a super clean and fast job on replacing all my breakers and circuit panel. I work for a general contractor so I see electrical work done on the daily basis. We recently had Sonny install a new Panasonic light / vent in our bathroom. His quote was $100.00 less then two other Electricians, and was able to install it the next morning. The other Electricians were booked for two months.
