We had a lighting problem, a fluorescent fixture that was misbehaving. Sonny responded promptly to our request for help. He came, he saw, he fixed, and he also identified another issue we had with a circuit-breaker panel that is dangerous, as fitted originally to our 1950s-built home.
He was efficient and not expensive. I would recommend him highly to anyone in the area with an electrical problem. We will ask him to replace our panel in the near future (hopefully before the house burns down).

I've used Sonny Rios two times , for 3 different issues. All three issues had intermittent (ghost like) electrical issues that needed investigation. We didn't know if it was major or minor. Sonny came in and figured it out, fixed and tested all 3 issues. My bill was very fair. A dishonest person could have gotten me for thousands more!!

My home is a money pit that will unfortunately need more SJ Rios electrical services. Its nice to know I have an honest Electrician.

As we know, finding the right person to do a job can be challenging. But how fortunate my family and I found Sonny Rios. My brother found Sonny and hired him to do some major work on our family owned commercial property. My brother was so happy with the completed project and raved about Sonny's professionalism and work.

Our rental property (a duplex) had a series of issues. One of them being electrical, so I called Sonny. He responded quickly, accessed the situation and informed me what needed to be done. The electrical panels needed to be changed. Sonny was so patient and supportive as we were dealing with unfavorable tenants at the time. Communication with Sonny is very good.

Recently, I contacted Sonny about some concerns at my Mom's house. He helped resolved the issues. Sonny was so attentive, kind and respectful. My Mom was extremely happy and grateful.

I called Sonny at 900am and was surprised with how fast he was able to work on our electrical issues and needs around the house. He showed up just 2.5 hours after I called and was very helpful in explaining why certain outlets and lights were going out. He was very patient, doesn't talk over you, explains everything beforehand so youre comfortable and is fair priced. I appreciate Sonny for his really quick response to our issues and services. I needed to check my electric panel because of an expansion of a home flight simulator project. I called SJ Rios Electric and Sonny came to my house and clearly explained to me my options in plain English so I could make an informed decision.

He provided a detailed explanation of what he would be doing to add a new circuit to my existing panel and avoid messing with my current electric design. I really felt he was willing to embrace the most cost-effective action rather than the most costly one. I really appreciate honesty and what I consider a fair cost for the entire project.

He showed up on time and even played with my crazy dog LOL.

I got Sonny's name / Company (Rios Electric) off a neighborhood bulletin board. Many many members praised Sonny for his work and professionalism, and I can see why.

There's 'always' been a problem with mold in our Master Bath. The last time we had it cleaned the representative said the molds grow so quickly as there is no moving air. Water just sits there for a long time after each use. He recommended an Air Fan in the ceiling, I thought that would be a great solution.

So the next time Rios Electric was named - I knew it was time for me to call. Sonny returned my call promptly and - things were set to go.

From our conversation he generally knew what to expect. Upon arrival I received a reasonable bid, and then we had a discussion about which fan unit / Brand to install. He recommended the Panasonic as it was high end quality and a very low operational 'hum'. He was right. We can hardly hear it running when we're in bed.

With this great experience we needed / used Sonny's services again. This time to deal with a problem of a fuse continually 'blowing' in hot weather - when the freezer was working extra hard.

Wow, this solution was broad and extensive... When our house was built they put a ton of receptacles on the same circuit. Get this, the middle bathroom, utility room and 'two' garage outlets. No wonder it kept blowing - we had a FREEZER, water softener, in constant use, a washer & dryer occasionally in use - but the big thing was when PLUGGING IN MY WIFE's PRIUS - what a power drain.

It was obvious we needed another circuit breaker BUT with no more slots available - we had to go with a new / bigger breaker panel.- no decision needed. Sonny masterfully installed this and did a good job of covering up the cut Sheetrock.

Also, during the process Sonny noticed a cord going from one overhead light to the other with only an extension thick cord. He said that had a high level of fire danger. Well he fixed that too.

Well since we were taking care of electrical needs, I mentioned I wanted another dedicated outlet in the garage - this one in front of the other side of the garage - just in case another electric car was in the future. :)

In summary, I can't say enough about my pleasure and the results provided by Sonny / Rios Electric. I will definitely use Rios Electric in the future for any of my electrical needs
