2 years ago I had my alarm system and camera surveillance system installed by signal alarm and Electric Company. It runs smoothly and I'm very happy with it, after two years I had a small glitch with one of the motion sensors inside the dining room was malfunctioning. I called the gentleman at signal alarm, I spoke with Tobias and he came out the very next day, adjusted the sensor which needed a minor adjustment he repaired the situation in less than 15 minutes, and did not charge me not even a service call. Great customer service and we'll definitely recommend this company !

I needed work done in my house, specially changing electrical outlets, recess lighting and some wiring work in my garage. Mr. Vargas came over to my house did a thorough inspection of what needed to be done, and gave his quote that's $340 (plus $5.00 per outlet) inside and $300 for the garage.

He explained his pricing was the labor for 4 hours, for each area and it would not take longer than that; we agreed on his quote in shook on that price.
Mr. Vargas was not able to make it to the house so he sent his brother instead.

His brother though very nice took him wait too long to do the work. He spent a considerable amount of time on the phone walking back-and-forth from the house to his car. By the end of the day he asked for $470 - he was only half done of what he was supposed to do for the day.

I waited to the following day to discuss this issue with Mr. Vargas. He said that he took longer and therefore he needed to charge more, I told him we had an agreement, you submitted a bid, I excepted it over the three other bids I got and in the middle of your work you change the price. WTF?

This is the typical shoddy work, shady deal in fast dark for some of this construction people. They think that everybody stupid. I fired this man on the spot and ask him to leave my house.

I contacted another gentleman, who finished the repairs at my house in half the time that took Mr. Varga's brother to do a 1/3 of the work he should've done.

Obviously, let the buyer beware.

Make sure that you get the contract in writing from this person before you do any business with him; he's a fast talker, a suave person and uses very deceitful practices behind a charming personality.

Never wrote a review but Mr. Vargas, owner/expert electrician extraordinaire, really exceeded my expectations. Chose him because of Yelp's reviews and where I saw his Dad, who started the business, in the pictures. In October 2014, We partially updated a home in San Marino and wanted to upgrade and safeguard some old electrical work. We were doing this from out of town! He was accommodating, responsive, professional and a true expert. He had many electrical surprises in this old house upon beginning, and was flexible, honest, informative each step, explaining my options.He kept his promises on everything and often went above and beyond with details and minor upgrades. We had to travel in and out of town for the duration of the project, and he always stayed in communication. He was flexible when we had other contractors in the house simultaneously. He was considerate and respectful at all times. He and Javier, his friend and also expert electrician co-worker, kept to our deadline and finished in time for the party at the new home! He even came afterwards for some minor fixes.Their dedication, persistence and expertise is reminiscent of the good ole fashion personal touch of a small business. Trusted and dependable. Our home was a small project compared to what he can do and yet he and his work is truly exceptional. He even threw in an alarm system in the package deal. We are grateful and fortunate to have had Signal Alarms&Electric safeguard our home. Thank You Mr. Vargas and Javier! We will only call you for any future work!

Tobias came to my house to expand my home network. I wanted additional ethernet jacks around the house. I wasn't sure how good he was going to be. The DirecTV guys that installed my cable sucked! Drilling holes in all sorts of unnecessary places. So I was sort of worried. But Tobias from Signal Alarms was great! The job looked really clean and everything took less than a couple hours. He was very professional. He gave a reasonable price. Add-in their yelp voucher and I saved $45! I think I was the first person to use the voucher because he first didn't know what it was.
