I just want to say how awesome Josephine at Sierra Electric is! She really tried to have someone come to fix my lighting issue even though their usual electrician was on vacation. Even though my issue didn't get fixed, I truly appreciate everything Josephine did to try to get my issue fixed!

I thought I had a fuse blown in my apartment, 70% of outlets in my apartment weren't working. Josephine from Sierra made me realize it's a simpler fix than what I thought I needed, she walked me through steps over the phone, I checked everything she asked me to and viola we discovered that one of the circuit breakers had tripped. This saved me a lot of money and time for her. I really appreciate the quick support... and her willingness to help me over the phone, not everyone is solution minded like her. Got a referral to Sierra Electric form an another contractor. Guys gave me a date on their earliest availability and a cost estimate based on my the job description. The job started exactly as promised and the cost estimate provided was accurate.

Sierra Electric has done two jobs for us and I could not be more satisfied. They are professional and prompt - the electrician who worked in our house was knowledgeable, answered all my questions clearly, and made reasonable recommendations which we are glad that we followed. On one occasion he stopped in earlier on the day of our appointment to make sure he would bring all the necessary supplies when the appointment time came. I will definitely use them for any work I need in the future and recommend them to anyone who needs electric work.

I had Sierra Electric come to our office an install receptacles for our external outlets and they did it so fast! Last time I had an electrician come in he took his sweet time and said that they have overtime hours after 230PM. They explained to me clearly what they have done and what they will do next time they come back. I will keep using these guys every time I need an electrician!

The electrician arrived 1.5 hours late for our appointment. Although we had requested that he wear booties in the house, he didn't bring them. He said he would go out to buy booties and then return shortly to do the work. He never returned. When I called into the office to find out where he was (after I waited a total of 3 hours from our original appointment time), the scheduler told me that he had just texted her to say he was sick. Given this extremely unprofessional behavior, we decided to go with another company for the work. The new company was less expensive, prompt, and extremely professional. I recommend that you avoid using Sierra Electric

We've had Sierra Electric in to our house to install and repair multiple things over fourteen years. They've been consistently, prompt, reliable, and professional; and they do good work for reasonable prices. We recommend them to all our friends.

Really bad.

I called for a quote. They said $120 just to come in to give a quote.

The guy came in for 30 minutes, then later gave me a quote (which was very high).

I later called another licensed electrician who gave me a quote for about 60% of Sierra's price. His quote was free. After he did the work, the PG&E guy said it was one of the best residential upgrades he'd seen in a long time.

When I didn't select Sierra, they sent me a bill for $240 -- saying the quote took two hours labor.

They might be good electricians but I think they are overpriced - you can find other very good licensed electricians elsewhere.
