The problem with my electrical outlets happened late in the afternoon last week, and I didn't expect an electrician to come out at that late hour. The issue was with my breakers, and nothing I did would get them to work. But I called Sierra Electric, whom I've used before, to see if someone could come out the next day. A woman named Amanda (she kept repeating her name to me, so I remember) very politely took my information, asked me to hold while she said she'd call to check as to when someone could come out to do my job. She got back to me and said that Sierra Electric would send someone out the next day and would call me first thing in the morning to verify time. At 8:30 the next morning a woman who said she was calling from Sierra Electric said that she had no one available to do my job. I asked when someone would be available, expecting to book an appointment. No, she said, no one would be available to do my job, period. She was curt and rude. It was clear they didn't want my business. Why, I don't know, as they were always paid immediately upon receipt of invoice. In reading all these glowing reviews, I'm not sure which Sierra Electric they're talking about. I'll never use them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. Very dissappointed.

They were outstanding from start to finish- thoroughly explained what work needed to be done, finished on schedule, and charged exactly what they quoted. We recently hired Jeremy and Gary at Sierra Electric to do a variety of jobs at our new home. They always, always come at the scheduled time and are very professional - Jeremy asked for a copy of our inspection report and got to fixing everything on it. They did a thorough job. We have recommend them to our friends as well.

It helps if you have a painter working at the house during the same time. They do patch up the holes but it's not aesthetically pleasing. They did mention that they will do the basic minimum. If you are putting in new light fixtures to match old ones on one side, be present when they start that job so you can tell them where to drill. We did discuss this firsthand but the lights aren't aligned at the same height - a very minor hiccup if you are a perfectionist but it would be even more wonderful if people thought of the details. This is purely a cosmetic thing, their work was stellar. Hence the 5 stars!

Fast, professional service and reasonable price. I called them about an electrical short. They came out within a couple of hours. Fixed the problem fairly quickly and cleaned up nicely. Nice team of people to work. I will definitely call them again! Do not waste your time with anyone less.

I called Sierra Electric when Voltz Electric referred me because they were too busy. The CFLs in the kitchen ceiling were commercial, not domestic so when the bulbs burned out I couldn't buy replacements at Home Depot or Lowe's. Eventually the ballast died. Tyson came out and discovered that he couldn't get at the wires hooked to the transformers for each light and referred me to the owner since he didn't want to cut through the sheetrock. Jeremy the owner came out himself to survey the situation and said he was 95% sure he could replace the bulbs with LEDs without damaging the sheetrock. Three hours later he was done. And he did it without damaging the sheetrock at all. The lights looked great, warm and soft light, not really bright and glaring like the CFLs. One year warranty on parts and labor. These are my new electricians! Work was of high quality. Jeremy cleaned up and tossed out the empty LED boxes. Pricing was reasonable. I'd definitely recommend them to my friends.
