As a returning client, Shok continues to be the best electricians in the metro LA area. After requesting a visit, David came out explaining clearly and explicitly why what I wanted couldn't be done, and what the consequences would be if anyone attempted to do it. Clearly operating in the customer's best interests, and for that I'm extremely appreciative and grateful. I wanted to pay for the consultation but he refused. Will always be used for future electrical repairs.

Shok ROCKS! These guys came through on time and on budget for the replacement of the entire breaker box assembly that we needed in a hurry in our condo. Later when we had a problem with a circuit they returned, determined that someone else had run a screw into the neutral wire, fixed the problem....and wouldn't take any money. We interacted with a number of other (non-electrical) contractors in the course of fixing up this place for rental and our lives would have been IMMEASURABLY better if any of the other outfits had been 1/2 as competent, honest and dependable as these guys. You cannot do better.

We lost half the power to our house late on a weekday. I called around 10:30pm and David was here at 8am the next morning to investigate. He quickly diagnosed the issue and advised me that it was an LADWP issue and they needed ti come and fix it. If LADWP was half as reliable and responsive as David and Shok, we'd never have any problems with the grid. Will definitely be calling again next time I need electrical work.

As a new homeowner I was concerned about finding trustworthy and reliable companies to help me renovate my house. I asked for recommendations from everyone I knew. I saw the Shok Electric truck parked in my neighborhood and gave them a call. They quickly sent someone out to give me an estimate. I was impressed by David's professionalism and friendliness. Their quote was on par with others we had received, but what distinguished them in my evaluation was their responsiveness, excellent communication, and that they are a locally operated family business. 

They upgraded our panel, installed grounding and added GCFI outlets to our century-old house. They also did a thorough checkup on our wiring, patiently answering my questions. The new panel and grounding was completed quickly in just one day.  David even went the extra mile to ensure our new panel passed inspection, taking care of things I wouldn't have even thought of. Claudia frequently kept me in the loop on the status of our project and worked with my schedule to ensure all work was completed in a timely manner. 

When it comes to future projects, I'd definitely hire Shok Electric again. They've gained my trust, and I'd gladly recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work done.

David is the best of the best! Super friendly and easy to collaborate with from start to finish. He installed three outlets for us in ideal positions, fixed our EV charger and even helped us clean up some sprinkler wiring. His work is very clean, efficient and fairly priced. We will use Shok again whenever anything else comes up.

The work:
Scheduled a service with Shok to figure out why an overhead light fixture wasn't working. David was knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. He was able to figure out where the problem was really quickly. I asked him about some other minor issues and he told me what I could do if I felt comfortable and what it would cost if I wanted to hire them. I appreciate that he didn't try to sell me on needing an electrician for everything. I'll definitely be reaching back out to Shok for anything else in the future.

The communication:
When I reached out for a quote, Claudia,, the associate, replied to my initial request really quickly and we got the appointment scheduled for a few days out. Day of the appointment David was able to come earlier than expected. Claudia and David made sure to reach out with plenty of time to make sure I was able to accommodate the earlier appointment.
