Hey Central Texas if you need electrical work these are the guys to call. I contacted Shipley Electric to hookup my new Workshop and Well House and Bert responded immediately. We met at the site and he evaluated the requirements and sent me a proposal within hours. This is the amount they charge, no surprises. The billing system is nice and easy to use. Bert even recommended someone to perform the trench work, plumbing and coverup. I'm really impressed with the way this company handles business and helps the customer even if they can't do the work. Bert and his crews are all very professional, responsive, hard-working with great attitudes - a total trustworthy package.

Shipley Electric exceeded all of my expectations. The guys ran 200 Amps to the shop, powered the well house, stubbed for a future pool house, added a transformer and installed landscape lighting. All of their work is top notch. I can't wait to call Bert back to complete the workshop lighting and electrical. Superior quality at affordable prices. This is the only Master Electrician you'll ever need. Wish I could give them 50 stars.

Just wanted to write a quick review for Shipley. Awesome company. I'd give 10 stars if I could. Bert came out to our place with very little advance notice on a Sunday, for an issue I was having with our pool pump not powering on. Turned out, it wasn't an electrical issue at all, but Bert gave me a few tips that led to diagnosing the problem on our pump. And what's more - since it wasn't technically and electrical issue he could fix, he didn't charge us a dime. Really impressive and the kind of experience that will have me calling Shipley immediately our next electrical need. As a sidenote, by total coincidence, Bert's next appointment was with one of my coworkers across town and he also gave an enthusiastic and satisfied review for Bert's work. It's a nice feeling having access to top-notch service providers like Shipley!!!!

We lost power to most of our house, including the refrigerator and AC, around 10 o'clock on a Saturday night. It was 85 degrees then and predicted to exceed 100 the next day. Needless to say, I started looking for electricians early Sunday morning. Most electricians in Austin are closed on Sundays, and several of them that advertise 24/7 emergency service were either unavailable to come until Monday or Tuesday or simply never called back. Then I called Shipley Electric which had good reviews on Yelp. The owner, Bert Shipley, returned my call within 10 minutes and came out himself even though it was a Sunday. He quickly found the source of the problem; found a replacement circuit breaker that would fit into our 40+ year-old electrical panel (the original manufacturer had gone out of business); and then made arrangements to pick up the part from the owner of an electrical supply house that is closed on weekends. He had everything back to normal within about an hour and a half. We didn't lose any of the food in our fridge/freezer thanks to him. He was very professional and courteous and did not recommend making unnecessary repairs, such as replacing the entire electrical panel. We highly recommend him.
