TLDR: Dave came in, did the work as per estimate, cleaned up after himself, and showed up on time. Priceless.

Long version: I'm the contractor's worst nightmare, a homeowner who thinks they can do certain tasks. Sometimes I'm right, I could do it, but I'm getting too old to go crawling around in attics and on ladders and such.

I had a coupla electrical things I needed done, some of which meant fiddling about in my breaker boxes, which I'm always leery of. I called a few people, who were too busy or had crappy communication skills and no sense of time and politeness.

Dave, on the other hand, has his proverbial you-know-what together. Organized, very clear communication, and timely. First he scheduled a virtual get-together to go over what I wanted. He was on time and was willing to listen as well as talk. After me running around with the camera and showing him what the outside boxes looked like, he determined that no, the style of thing I wanted wouldn't work well, but says, hey, you know, there's this other one you can get on Amazon and put in yourself. Sent me a link, boom, simple. Saved a few bucks on that side.

The other half of the work I did have him come out and do. Again, scheduled, and showed up on time (I have this thing about folks being on time and not wasting MY time, which Dave has down to a science), and taken care of. He might not be cheap, but face it, when hiring a professional you should be looking for professional work, not the lowest price -- or at least you should be when the downside is the risk of your house burning down. (If I wanted to take the risk I'd do it myself =)) I tried not to shoulder cruise much, but what I saw was done The Right Way, so I'm pleased with the results. We spent a bit of time talking about other possibilities, upgrades and such. I didn't feel pressured or anything, it was just chat about someday if I wanna change up the house or go to sell and need to meet code for inspection or whatever.

As above, good guy, respectful of your time, and I'd use him again in a heartbeat.

Others have said it, but it needs repeating. David is amazing! From the very start of contacting him, he was extremely communicative, knowledgeable, professional, courteous, personable, and punctual.

I had lost power to my upstairs heater/thermostat. I originally had an HVAC person come to check it out, but they said the unit was fine and it was an electrical issue. I then contacted a different electrician who came and took a look. They said they would send me an estimate, but never did. A week later I called them back and this other company told me their electrician was sick and they'd get me an estimate by the end of the day. That never happened.
At this point it's been weeks with no heat and with the weather we've had lately, it's been very cold at night.

In comes David to the rescue! I called Shamrockin Electric and David took a look at the issue, He was able to fix it in the same visit. Tonight, we have heat! Not only did he fix my electrical issue, but he explained what the problem was and the how/why of what he was going to do to fix it. As I said, great communication. I will gladly call David/Shamrockin Electric for my future electrician needs. He is the best electrician I've ever used. It's a good feeling when you have found a go to tradesperson and don't have to roll the dice with other electricians. Thank you David.

Dave is exceptional in his work and great to work with. He is clear, communicative and has the patience to see the job thru. He installed a generator for us which required permits etc and he followed thru impeccably. Highly recommended.

I needed my electrical outlet replaced to fit my EV charger adapter. Dave provided a consultation over Zoom and then we proceeded to schedule a day he could work on my outlet. For the entire project, I felt that he was knowledgeable and explained everything to me so I understood what he was doing. 10/10 would go back to him to work on future electrical projects.

I contacted the owner and he answered the call and I was lucky because he had a cancellation and he was able to fix the non working outlets throughout the home. In addition, I asked him to do a few other things while he was there and he did. Just a very professional and helpful person for any of your electrical needs in the Tri Valley area, including Danville.

We had Dave diagnose and fix our lights in our garage, swap out ceiling fans throughout house, add recessed lights in a couple of rooms, and added additional switches and dimmers. He was neat, professional, and prompt. Best of all was that Dave was able to work around my husband and I work schedule. We both WFH and he was able to work around the hours where we were on Zoom meetings, which was highly appreciated as the drilling/hammering can get quite loud. His rates were reasonable and we will use Dave for any future work and have recommended him to our friends and neighbors.
