Dave from Shamrockin was great. He was booked out a couple weeks, but it was worth the wait. He fixed our electrical panel and then fixed/installed two other things in the same visit all within the originally quoted time. We will definitely use Shamrockin for our next electrical needs.

Dave is an outstanding and pragmatic electrician and is the most reliable tradesman I have found. First, unlike the past electricians I have worked with he both called and texted me back when he said he would. His voice mail said he was booked until Wednesday and on Wednesday like clockwork he called back. He's also a very personable and nice guy. Highly competent, reliable and nice.

He took the time to understand the problem before he arrived and also clearly explained his fees then as well. We scheduled a day and he got back to me with a two hour ETA window for his starting the work. Again, he was right on time and also texted me beforehand.

Once here he took the time for me to walk him through the problems I was having with a number of my upstairs circuits. Then he went through the diagnostics in short order. He provided me a few options to preserve some old switches and breakers or replace some or all of the components. I chose the ""clean it all up"" and he went through the fixes very efficiently.

While here I had a number of other items I wanted to get done at another time so he did a walkthrough of that and provided a clear estimate. He also provided good advice on options for the additional ceiling wiring I wanted and also what he would stay away from....and what would keep costs reasonable and what would be excessive.

I will be using him for the additional work and any other electrical work. He's a fantastic find and I would look nowhere else.

Dave is a rockstar! I wanted a Nema 14-50 outlet installed for our EV. I looked into getting one installed last year when we bought our house. The first company that came out said we were on a 100 amp service and would need to upgrade to 200 amps for a plug to be installed.

I looked into upgrading to 200 amps and it required permits and PG&E approving the project. I was told it would me close to $10,000 to do this project....I'm good!

I put the idea off and then decided this year to look back into it. Called a few electricians and was blown off or did not get a call back. I found Dave, gave him a call, left a message and by the end of the day he called me back, we set up an appointment for him to come out and look at the property.

Dave showed up on time, thoroughly went through everything and said he could do it without having to upgrade to a 200 amp service.

He was super up front letting me know he was very busy and it would be a month or so before he could get me in. This was ok with me, he sent me an invoice, I paid a portion up front and we locked in a day to start the project.

Due to covid related stuff, the breaker he needed was on back order. There was no estimate on when it would be in. Dave kept me in the loop the whole time, constantly checking in to let me know if he had any updates.

The item finally came in, Dave and I agreed on a date, he showed up on time and did an amazing job! He did such a clean job with the installation.

Dave did accidentally knock a wire lose while pulling the wires and it knocked out our doorbell cam. I didn't notice until later that night. I contacted him and he was very apologetic, said he would come out and fix it.

He showed up again on time, even replaced a few parts and had it fixed within 15 minutes.

Dave is super professional, very detail oriented and has such a great personality. We will definitely be using him for more projects around the house.

I called David for installing transfer switch for connecting power generator. I would say that the whole experience from onsite consultation and job estimate to completion of the job was great. David is very nice and courteous. He is responsive and he completed the job on time as promised.

We had a number of issues with the electrical work that had been done previously by a home warranty company. Dave at Shamrockin not only quickly found the issues that were disabling our HVAC system but also discovered some dangerously shoddy wiring that previously had been left.
Electrical work is one of the problems homeowners face that is hidden in walls and crawl spaces and one can never be sure that it has been properly resolved, but Dave took photos and clearly explained what was wrong and how he fixed it. To completely trust a service that is absolutely essential for safety can be rare these days, but our confidence in Shamrockin is over the top. Highly recommended!

My wife and I asked Dave to install a number of new ceiling can lights and trouble shoot some lighting issues we were having in our house. Dave quickly found the issues caused by a prior contractor's work and resolved them. As to the new ceiling can lights, I could not have asked for more professional work. Dave took photos after completing the work as much of the work was in the attic crawl space. It was clear that the work was completed by someone who is passionate about their trade and for providing exemplary customer service. I will absolutely call on Shamrockin Electric for future needs!

Had an electrical issue on one of the properties I manage in Palo Alto. Had previously used an electrician that was extremely expensive and found out they did poor work. The tenant didn't care for them either. Then I found Shamrockin Electric. What a life saver, and I truly mean that. David was able to come out quickly and assess the issue and find out we had an electrical hazard that could have turned into a fire.
