We got good service last year, but he totally flaked on an appointment today. Didn't respond to any of my calls or texts asking for an update or to reschedule, let alone apologize.

Don't ruin my whole day by flaking on our appointment. And if for some reason something comes up and you need to reschedule, at least communicate with me about it.

We were very impressed with Sal. We needed to have two free-standing A/C units vented to the outside. We emailed several handyman listings who got good ratings on YELP. One responded ASAP (cool) but never came (not cool). One came but was grumpy and never gave us an estimate. Sal responded timely, came over promptly, was very pleasant, gave us a fair estimate, and did nice work quickly.

Very anxious 3 weeks. It became unprofessional towards the end.

Shalom seems to be a good guy, but doesn't seem he has experience performing large (that are more than 1 day) jobs. We gave him a large piece of contract that included flooring, painting, fireplace renovation etc. He said he will get it done in 2.5 weeks. But soon he started asking for more time.

After 1 week we lost patience and we started asking him to finish the job already. At that time he stopped responding to calls and texts. We were very anxious during this time. We had to move out from the old place, but the new place was full of raw materials and was work in progress.

We also had to take several unplanned absences from work to adjust to Salvador's schedule.

The guy seems nice, but needs improve work ethic and seriously needs to improve his quality of work.

Sal is simply the best! From helping install a new microwave, to replacing wood that had dry rot, painting and upgrading, to minor repairs like tightening and aligning doors and of course minor emergencies like ooops something got stuck in the plumbing and we cant flush, Sal is always extremely responsive, knowledgeable, courteous and has tremendous follow through.

Not going to say anything else because I don't want you to make him too busy!

Salvador has been our go to handyman. Recently changed/rewired sconces and added a handrail for our stairs. He has tackled many projects over the last couple of years and we enjoy working with him. He is extremely trustworthy and his prices/rates are fair and reasonable.
