I called Josh from Shaka Electrical and left a message. He returned my call promptly and I informed him I needed my ballast in my fluorescent light in my garage changed because I work frequently in my garage at night. He told me he wouldn't be able to do the job until couple days but referred me to call his Uncle who is also an electrician and his Uncle was able to change my ballast for me. I stumbled across Josh and Shaka Electrical basically on accident but I'm so glad I did. I was looking to add lighting, switches, and outlets to a room and Josh did an incredible job. His pricing was fair and his communication was excellent. While working on the project, you could see his attention to detail and anytime there was questions, he made sure to ask me before doing anything. Josh also left the place cleaner than it was when he got here.

Had 3 fans (plus 2 switches swapped out and 1 new one) and an outlet installed. I started the process via yelp project, and Josh responded quickly. Organizing a time for him to come check out my unit for an in-person quote was easy. He was patient in answering all my questions and I trusted his judgment in decisions regarding aesthetics or what made most sense.

After the initial visit, Josh promptly sent the quote which was very detailed. I had a question on editing something we had previously discussed, and he had no problem accommodating with a new quote to reflect the change. Shortly after approving the quote we scheduled dates for him and his other guy (Jesse?) to come and get the job done.

Overall I'm super happy with the new fans and extra outlet. Because we have concrete ceilings, wire moulding was inevitable. Nevertheless, Josh made the visible track as minimal as possible and we're really pleased with how it turned out. I also appreciated how they vacuumed, wiped down surfaces, and even disposed of all the fan boxes for me after the job was done. The final invoice was spot on with the quote and was easily paid via credit card immediately after he wrapped up. Pricing was the best quote I received out of all the other electricians. I highly recommend hiring Josh and his company for your electrical needs, and I know I won't hesitate to book him again for any of my future projects!

Josh was extremely responsive, quick and was able to work within our schedule to get a few things done around the house. We needed to do the following: 1) install 4 prong plug, 2) change x2 light fixtures in bathroom & living room.

Josh was provided us with a very fair estimate, had great communication, and was able to quickly reschedule with us when one of my fixtures didn't arrive in the mail in time. From the first quote/site visit, he was able to fit us in just a few days later.

I would 10000% recommend, especially getting some crazy quotes that were almost 4x the cost and the other company wanted to charge me $200 just to ""provide a quote"". Highly commend and will certainly reach out to him again for our home needs!

Don't make a mistake, contact Josh first. I needed an electrician to install an EV charger and contacted 4 business including Shaka Electrical. Two companies replied 1 week later with high cost and Josh promptly replied the same day with the best price. He advised to send pics of the electrical panel, EV location and approximate distance for both. After texting info, Josh promptly replied with a quote. His quote was very detailed for materials and labor. I was impressed with the detailed quote and his price beats others by far. I was concerned not seeing any reviews on his company, but that fear went away after speaking with Josh. He also checked the job site before beginning. He is very flexible and will work with you to your satisfaction. On the install day, I was further impressed with his planning and workmanship of the installation. Watching Josh work shows he is a pro at his profession. After completion, I was very satisfied with his work. His work was clean, detailed, breakers labeled and he removes all his trash. Bottom line, you will get a honest, knowledgeable, and high quality electrician at a very reasonable price.
