I'm looking for a cover for my house, but after reading all the one-star ratings most of them are correct. I have been trying to get in contact with someone on two different numbers to no avail.

I saw his or their ad in the Homemag magazine. After many tries, I gave up. The ad should state Shade Builders' worst shade in town.

We recently hired Shade Builders out of Indio CA to cover our patio in Palm Springs. We signed a contract and gave them a deposit. Never heard from them again.!!

I scheduled a time for Rob to come take measurements to get an estimate for a lattice patio cover. He was supposed to come out Monday but ended up coming on Tuesday. I had several meetings that day so didn't have much time to chat with him but he came and measured. I told him (as well as the person I schedule the appointment with) that I needed the estimate as soon as possible as I had to submit it with other paperwork for HOA approval. Rob told me he have it to me Tuesday night. No estimate Tuesday. I left 2 messages on Wednesday with no response. I left a message and text on Thursday explaining the urgency (I don't live their full time and was leaving on Thursday; wanted to get the paperwork in to HOA for review so I could get the project started next time I was in town.)
Finally got a call late morning on Thursday. There was no apology for not calling me sooner or for not providing the estimate when they told me I'd receive it. The lady who called said Rob was too busy to get to the estimate over the past couple days, hopefully he'll be able to get to it today. I once again explained the urgency to her. Again, received no remorse for lack of communication or any sense that my business was important to them.
Here we are on Friday afternoon and I still have yet to receive an estimate or a phone call from Rob.
It's very unfortunate because the positive reviews on here seem great. Rob explained that he's done a lot of work and installed a lot of patio covers at our complex (familiar with our HOA rules, etc.) Not sure why there was a break down in communication. It is apparent to me that Rob, Shade Builders, has no concern for the business that I would have been happy to give them.

We recently had a patio cover installed and the process was very efficient and simple. Robert and Rochelle came out to do the estimate and after 3 other quotes with other companies, they were very affordable for the size of the patio we wanted. The materials took awhile to be received by the company, but it was the sign of the times as all construction companies were having trouble getting their materials, due to the restrictions of Covid just being lifted and things starting to open up. The installers were great Jose Sr. and Jose Jr. did an excellent job they were very professional, fast, and cleaned everything up afterwards. They involved us and always asked questions of the placement of the structure and where we wanted the lights. The quality of the patio is excellent lifetime warranty and the service was excellent. I would recommend them, other companies charged way more and for them to come out so far to Fontana was a great benefit.

My seller hired Shade Builders/Terrific Termite to do termite repairs on a home I purchased. I tried to contact them for months to complete the repairs with no response. They left two dangerous and unstable posts holding my deck up and a bunch of materials around my property. I tried to get them to refund either me or my seller and they offered a partial refund and tried to say the $60 worth of materials according to Home Depot were worth $600. No idea if they ever worked it out with my seller. The report they did found $1700 in repairs were needed and I've had three other inspections done totaling in about $7000 worth of repairs actually needed.

We just had our patio cover done with shade builders and we love it! I can't say enough about this company and their staff...Robert first came to our home to give us a quote and it was the most affordable yet quality quote we got after trying over 5 different patio companies. We felt comfortable with Robert and his staff! Rochelle is great and keeps you updated on invoices, when the supply comes in and when the build will be scheduled and you can call her anytime with any questions. On the day of the build we had Tony and one other worker come and they were amazing! For a build to be going on in your backyard which usually is a huge mess (I have kids and a busy schedule) I was presently surprised that it wasn't a huge mess like I anticipated, I think I'm trying to say, the build was so neat and organized and clean! Tony asked me questions before doing any detail work to make sure I was aware of any details and how I wanted things to look which was so refreshing to be asked before so we didn't end up with something we didn't like later. They installed the beautiful patio cover and electrical and put in all the fans and a new light fixture and new outlets. We have gotten so many compliments I would give them a 10 review if I could-for all Covid craziness also, this build was the smoothest part of our patio renovation and I'm so glad because it's reassuring because it's such a big piece in the yard. And to top it off they cleaned everything up at the end i I was left with a beautiful patio cover!!!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone on a budget but also wanting a quality high end aluminum patio cover here are some pictures of the patio cover also! Don't question getting a patio cover from SHADE BUILDERS! *and they didn't pay me to make this review

I have try since Feb 5th to have them come back out and fix a very bad leak on a screened in patio cover that installed . I have called 9 time and have seen them in person 3 time as the do a lot of work in the area and every time the say they will be out to take care of it and still as of May 26th they have NOT be out to FIX there problem of the poor install the did

just finished spending another 8 hours yesterday and today, anticipating this week's coming rain, correcting shoddy construction by this company that they consistently failed to correct. patio shade cover has leaked where it was joined to the house every time it rains and this company has failed to correct this despite numerous phone calls and conversations where they assured me that they would correct this issue. not ""poor"" customer service but ""no"" customer service. even ""poor"" customer service would be an improvement.

From the first phone call to set up an appointment to writing the final check, Robert and Rachelle are true professionals. The team that was assigned to install our lattice were friendly and professional too. We were kept in the know from start to finish. The quality of the materials & work done I could not have found elsewhere. The entire process was seamless.

We got our lattice, patio cover installed a few days ago.
We are VERY pleased with it.
Rob and Rachelle were easy to work with and although we had a few hiccups along the way they both handled them professionally and gave me great customer service. The installers were amazing. They had everything completed in less than 4 hours. They talked to me prior to the install making sure it would be done how I wanted it. They custom fitted it around our curved patio pad and it looks amazing. When they were done they cleaned up after themselves and were very professional.
I highly recommend Shade Builders.
