When lights began to flicker and then power to half my house went out, I called Manny at Seven Electric who quickly responded that same day. A corroded meter box was the cause. Manny able to get full power to my house while waiting for SCE to red-tag the box. Seven Electric showed up at the exact time they promised when they came back to replace the box. After my husband did his best in doing his own wiring in a quick project we realized he was a little out of his depth and we needed professional help. I sent Seven Electric a text (per website) and in less than an hour I received a response from the owner himself Manny. We talked about my issue and he quickly made an appointment for the next day. He was gracious enough not to pass judgement on the work my husband did and offered me a quick solution and resolved my problem. Manny was a lifesaver and so nice! I accidentally spilled coffee onto my APC battery pack power strip thing and it apparently blew out all the outlets in its vicinity. I tried flipping circuit breakers and hitting random reset buttons to no avail. A quick call to Manny and he had the easy solution for me (hit the reset buttons on all the outlets close to the blown area - even outlets outside). And it worked! Even though it saved me money by not needing him to come out, he was so willing patient and kind. I'd recommend Seven Electric in a pinch!

My lights started flickering in my home office along with my computer monitor and printer going out and coming back on. That night my wife said the kitchen lights were flickering. Pretty soon we realized that 40-50% of the lights and outlets were affected.

I called a licensed electrician that I know. He said it must be a loose wire inside the house. He recommended that I wait for a circuit to go out completely, then we would know where the trouble is coming from. Otherwise he would have to go through the whole house (2,600 sq. ft.) tearing up the plaster walls looking for a loose wire.

But the flickering went on for several days and eventually the power would go out for five to ten minutes at a time - nearly all the lights in the house.

I called Manny of Seven Electric to get a second opinion. As soon as I told him the problem he said it must be an outside problem. One of the wires or connections coming from the pole. He reasoned that if it was inside the house, there wouldn't be so many circuits involved. Manny got on the phone to So. Cal. Edison and reported the problem. He said they'd be out that day. The last thing he told me was: ""make sure the Edison guy goes up on the pole and checks the connections. They'll try to tell you it's not necessary.""

The Edison guy was there 90 minutes later. He hooked up a machine to my (nearly new) electrical panel and tested it. He said if there was a problem on the pole the machine would show it. Everything checked out ok. I told him the electrician said to go up the pole so he could eliminate that as a cause of the problem. He didn't want to, but he finally agreed. He changed the connections on the pole and on my roof.

That did it. No more flickering! Just imagine if I had gone with the first electrician. I might have eventually turned him loose tearing up the walls and even re-wiring the house. I've heard that a re-wire on a house this size is over $25,000.

Manny was at my house for less than 15 minutes and didn't even charge me. He said if Edison doesn't take care of it, call me. Manny was on time, personable and very knowledgeable. I am so grateful and give him the highest recommendation.

He later on gave me a time frame and quote and the job was completed exactly add how he told me out would happen. They did a great job of cleaning up and they even gave me some pointers if I wanted to adjust any of the lighting configurations they had set-up. Manny is so awesome. It is December 23, the Saturday before Christmas. I started calling down the list in Yelp for help when the electricity in the condo was out. Manny was the only one to answer and not only did he answer, but he was available to come the same day. SO grateful! You totally take electricity for granted until you don't have it and when you need it, it's a crapshoot when you can find someone to come out, much less an honest reliable person.
