Very prompt and professional. As a Realtor in the area I am in need of reliable contractors for repairs and estimates. Everett went out of his way to meet with me despite having a very busy schedule in the time frame I needed. The estimate I received was well priced and explained thoroughly. excellent customer service and they always answer the phone.

We called Service City to repair some wires that were accidentally cut because they were not done up to code initially. George arrived quickly, explained the process and completed the job on time and in a very professional manner. Will call Service city again in Frisco! Thanks George!

Our smoke detector about 20 feet up started going off in the middle of the night. We called Service City Electric and they sent out Casey Hargis. Casey did a great job. He told me my options to replace the smoke alarm, found a tall ladder, and made a trip to find the replacement brand I wanted. I am very happy with the service, and will call Service City again. It cost a lot more to replace the whole alarm, but was worth it with a 10 year battery so I should not have to deal with it again for a long time. He also caught a lizard (yuck!) for my son. My son is delighted too.

Had them come look at our Churches electric project need. They charged us for a service call $69 which I thought was wrong in light of the potential $ to made on the project. Took the information and said they would get back to us within a week. Never heard from them again despite multiple calls and promises. Wasted 2 weeks with unmet promise. If it's a small issue then perhaps fine but if you need something done on a large scale go somewhere else. Customer service doesn't exist. At least tell the truth.

We recently used Service City Electric for the first time. On time - Danny was professional, he analyzed what needed to be done & gave us a quote. Very reasonable, very alert to protecting flooring and furniture. Knowledgeable and we are so pleased with him and this company.. We will use them again and highly recommend for your electrical needs!!! John & Beth Lowney, Frisco

I had them come out to our school to fix some lights and power to a thermostat. The techinician told us it would cost close to $500 to fix it, and he wasn't even sure that he knew what the problem was. I declined and called another provider instead, they fixed the problem for a small trip fee of $89.00. I felt like he didn't know what he was doing and was trying to make a large profit from a small issue.

Require a $69 fee just to show up and provide a quote. If you don't like the quote, you still have to pay the $69 fee. Couldn't even get them to give a ballpark quote without committing to the $69 fee. Wouldn't recommend.

In the heat of the summer they show up within an hour of me placing the call. They were professional, courteous and straight forward to deal with. They were responding to a home inspection deficiency and could have done what they wanted and instead advised me that there is no issue, safety or otherwise and charged me only the $49 service call fee. Honesty and integrity are key to me.

I paid these guys with a credit card over the phone. Two days later, all sorts of fraudulent charges started hitting my credit cards. I wouldn't recommend you pay them with credit card or your check.

Way more expensive than Electrician on Call. (~$250+ just for a wall-switch & fan canopy mod installation vs. Electrician on Call charging ~$260 for that + 4 GFCI switches and installation)

Said they had a satisfaction guarantee. We decided that price was not satisfactory. They still charged $50 just to show up and walk around.

UPDATE:

Emily made the effort to give us a call and informed us that we were refunded the $50 service charge. It is exceptional when a business is willing to go out of their way to make sure even customers who didn't choose to go with their service are happy when they walk away.

To be clear, I am sure Service City does a wonderful job. The staff member who arrived to survey our home from Service City Electric was very polite and professional. I'm willing to bet they wouldn't leave a mess anywhere like the electrician from Electrician on Call did. Also, I'm guessing that Service City would have been able to properly install the canopy + wall switch upgrade that we wanted, rather than Electrician on Call just putting in a standard switch after failing to be able to properly install the ""Lutron Maestro"" switch kit we had wanted in our master bedroom.

The only reason we didn't go with them was because after shopping around, the price difference was just too big for us to pass the other provider up. Don't get me wrong, you shouldn't be cheap on who you choose to be your electrician. Doing so could result in disastrous consequences such as a fire or electrocution, but the work we needed done was overall pretty basic. So going with the lower price option was what we decided was the best compromise.

I do imagine if we do need work done that is more substantial than just light switches and GFCI boxes, we will likely be contacting Service City rather than Electrician on Call.
