Kevin Comerford and his family have been meeting the heating and air conditioning needs of Northern California homeowners since 1972.
Kevin graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in 1994.
Following his graduation, he came back to work in his family’s air conditioning and heating company.
After 25 years of ownership, his parents sold the business to a large corporation in Dallas, TX.
After six years with that company, Kevin opted to step away from the corporate scene and start a family-run, customer-focused business like his parents did in 1972.
Consequently, he launched Service Champions in 2002.
Guided by these values, Kevin's company has grown to include more than 200 team members and has been in operation for 18 years.
Currently, Service Champions provides services to homeowners in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay), South Bay, and Sacramento area.
He lives in Pleasanton, CA, with his wife and their three kids.

Service Champions Heating and Air is the place to call! Our heater was not working out of the clear blue. We had an appointment scheduled for later today however we were called and they were here within 5 minutes! I highly recommend them. They are professional, prompt, honest and courteous. They are too much on sales.They try to get you to take out their service plans. I'm going back to my tech from another company but wanted to give them a try.

Do not do business with them! They overcharge, engage in terrible business practices, do a poor job, and do not respond to communications. Their employees aren't even happy with their own company!

For the initial visit, they will immediately find ways to try and sell a new unit. On the visit to discuss the new unit, they will bring quotes from other places to prove they are cheap (which is straight up lying).

On installation day, they flood the home with a bunch of inexperienced people--one of them was even scared of ladders. During installation, they caused damage to the ceiling, left drill holes on the wall, didn't properly connect the thermostat.

After install, service champions sent an inspector to check it out. Undisclosed to me at the time, he found an undercharge or possible leak. Service champions sent someone to check it out, stating that the inspector made some comments, that the install was perfect, and that the inspector doesn't know how to do his job. After numerous attempts to contact them, service champions finally told me that the technician they sent had to recharge the system. They also informed me that I should check periodically check it on my own and recharge (which isn't legal without professional training?).

Service champions refused to recheck it. As it is a new install, it could possibly have been a faulty system which needs replaced. They also failed the permit inspection.

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They have been a very expensive nightmare.

This company will not remove me from their junk mail list. I've contacted them multiple times this year, both by phone and emails, requesting to be removed from their mailing list. I have never done business with them and wish they would stop sending me junk mail.

Just had my furnace serviced today and I couldn't be happier. Steve Mee was the technician that was sent to our house and from now on I will always ask for him by name. He acted as if our home was his own. Before he started he took a few minutes to talk to us about our system and how we felt it was working in each room of our house. It just so happened we had one room that wasn't cooling/heating in proportion with the rest of the house. He kept that in mind as he started his inspection and found the issue right away. We bought the house a little over a year ago and had addressed that concern with home inspectors but they somehow had missed the issue. Steve found it right away. So glad to finally be fixing it. He continued with the service as if it was his own home. He was very thorough. So thorough, in fact, that he found some particularly hazardous conditions within our furnace (we knew it was old, didn't know it had deteriorated to the point of being dangerous). He explained the issues to us so that we could understand what was happening, he even drew diagrams to help us better understand what was happening within our furnace. Maintaining our home is important to us, but our safety is even more important. This was the best $88 we could have spent. Yes, we'll spend more to get the system up to snuff, but the piece of mind that Steve and Service Champions has given us is priceless. Service Champions will be doing our regular service/maintenance from here forward, we signed up for their annual maintenance plan and it's the best investment we've made in a while.

This company came out to my mothers house and gave them some absurd quote for doing a partial reinstall - thank goodness I find out with no time to spare. I had them call back and dissolve the contract and found another company to come out and give them another quote. Sure enough Park mechanical was not only able to beat their quote, they were also able to include a nicer system, they also included a full package with work this company wanted thousands more for. I recommend getting a second opinion prior to working with this company.

Just had Service Technician Barry Ashcraft out to inspect and service our Air Conditioning and Heating units. First time I've used Service Champions. I can't say enough good things about Barry. He was on time, Professional, communicative, considerate, and efficient. As you can tell I was impressed. To the point I will use S.C. for all my future needs and ask for ONLY Barry to come out. Let's face it the service person makes or breaks a company so I can't speak for the other reps. with this company but Barry was exceptional.
