Kevin Comerford and his family have been meeting the heating and air conditioning needs of Northern California homeowners since 1972. Kevin graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in 1994. Following his graduation, he joined his family's heating and air conditioning business. After 25 years, his parents sold the business to a large corporation in Dallas, TX. After working for that company for six years, Kevin opted to leave the corporate sector and start a family-run, customer-focused business like his parents did in 1972. Thus, he founded Service Champions in 2002. With these core values, Kevin's business has flourished, now employing over 200 team members and operating for 18 years. Today, Service Champions caters to homeowners in the East Bay, South Bay, and Sacramento areas of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Kevin resides in Pleasanton, CA, with his wife and three children.

I would like to THANK Devin Banning for his professionalism. We called Service Champion to make an appointment for a tuneup on our heating and air condition system from the time Devin came to the door he was very professional. He began to ck out the system but before he did he explained everything he was going to do when he finished he showed/explained to us what we needed and why. Our 11 year old unit is running like new.
My husband I are so pleased from the first call to the end everyone really cared
and keep you updated on times of arrival etc.

My furnace stopped working and I had a tech show up. He said I needed a part and would order it and follow up within 3 days. He sold me an MVP membership in addition to the service cost and said I would get a discount on parts. Well, that's the last I heard from him and 5 other call center operatives when I called back daily for a week asking about progress. It was always - we will get back to you. They always say there's no manager on site you can talk to. Just SILENCE! I have asked for a full refund of the $191 from the last person I talked to and still have not heard anything back! I tried emailing the Chief Enthusiasm Officer (owner), and did not hear back. This outfit is the limit when it comes to worst customer service that I have encountered anywhere. They tout "" I 'M happy"" as their motto, and are also on the diamond certified list, but never again! I would strongly not recommend them for any work - HVAC, plumbing, ductwork, etc, etc.! Buyer beware. Look elsewhere if you want a reliable service provider who doesn't steal your money and then goes silent.

We have been working with David Frew from the sales team for about 3 years now. He recently came out to our house to do an estimate for replacing our HVAC duct work. During his assessment in our crawl space, he followed the entire duct line to each of the air flows, took pics, and showed us where there were holes and detachments were. We had other sales people come to give us their bids as well. David's was the most comprehensive and reasonable. When looking for comprehensive and honest bids, I would absolutely include David/Service Champions in my vetting process.

Earlier this week I had a MVP maintenance check on my HVAC system and tankless water heater. It was performed by Sean Souza who performed a thorough inspection. He addressed my concerns and afterwards, he provided recommendations about attic insulation and the electric panel. Items to consider for future work. Sean is knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with.
My MVP service is well worth the money.

We have used and trusted Service Champions for almost 20 years because they have always sent great professional, knowledgeable, and very personable technicians to care for our heating, cooling, and electrical concerns.
This time Ricky Williams came to do our annual WOW! furnace and A/C Tune-ups, and he was absolutely terrific. While checking out everything to make sure it was performing as it should, he noticed and showed us that the wiring on a surge protector was not as safe and efficient as it should be and immediately rewired it to correct the problem before it created more problems. He also spotted and replaced an Air Scrubber insert that was about to fail, so our system is again running as efficiently as possible. After he had checked everything out carefully he went over everything to let us know what was running perfectly, answered all of our questions, and with no pressure what so ever, let us know what we might have to repair/replace sometime down the line.
We couldn't have asked for a better or kinder technician. A+++++ for sure!

If I could give them a zero, I would. This is a late review from last year.
We needed to get our heater checked. They came and looked around, made us pay the membership stating we can cancel later if we change our mind, brought in another person next day to look through again (not sure why) and started to sell us a package stating we should get a whole new furnace, an asbestos team and quoted close to $20k.
They knew we were in a time crunch. But with our gut telling us they are bs-ing me (a woman), I got BA Morrison to come in. Plus another independent HVAC specialist. They both quoted me the same $275 to fix the issue. My husband and I cancelled our membership at Service Champions and told them our horror about their dishonesty. Then they made us pay for just coming in to evaluate the issue since we're cancelling the membership. NONE of the contractors did that when they checked our issue to give us an estimate.
We decided that's on us for calling them and just considered that ridiculous fee as our lesson learned for the sake of our friends, family and community so they know not to go to Service Champions.

Sean Hynes went above and beyond. He exceeded my expectations everytime. Takes his time with my annual tune up very details and thorough on the photos. If you need someone to trust with your AC and furnace make an appointment with Service Champion. They will keep you cool in the summer and heat flowing during the winter

and I consider him to be a real asset to your company.
