Kevin Comerford and his family have been meeting the heating and air conditioning needs of Northern California homeowners since 1972. Kevin completed his studies at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, graduating in 1994. Upon finishing his degree, he came back to work in the family-owned heating and air conditioning company. His parents sold the family business to a $5 billion corporation in Dallas, TX, after 25 years. After working for that company for six years, Kevin opted to leave the corporate sector and start a family-run, customer-focused business like his parents did in 1972. Consequently, he launched Service Champions in 2002. With these core values, Kevin's business has flourished, now employing over 200 team members and operating for 18 years. Currently, Service Champions provides services to homeowners in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay), South Bay, and Sacramento.
Kevin resides in Pleasanton, CA, with his wife and three children.

Service overall is good. Customer service by phone and appts not so much especially during summer days that gets busier. I had an appt for Sunday from 8am-10am and no call no show. I called the call center and they said that they called me to notify that there is a cancellation and that they also said they had text me. No text notification that my appt was cancelled nor a VM on me inbox. Bad communication on the reps part. Overall they are ok just would like to have a notice so I know not to wait from those times.

Adam, from the Livermore office of Service Champions, came for service on both AC's and heaters. He did a thorough and efficient job! Very polite, communicative and explained things very well. Checked everything and gave detailed report. Very happy with this service. Thank you!

Justin and David were both awesome.I called in the morning and technicians came out the same day and scheduled service and installed the next day.

We had our annual inspections today. Sean H. Came and was so pleasant and outgoing. He was quick and efficient. We talked for a bit afterwards and he made his recommendations without any pressure. He even tested our water without being asked. He told us about having our electrical inspected which we were looking into as well. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. I will personally ask for him when we are due for another recheck. It was 5 star service.

Requested service for our gas tankless water heater. Quoted us $2000 for service or $8000 for a replacement unit. We looked up the model and it's $1,000. When we questioned him he gave a lot of excuses that didn't make any sense. This company isn't honest. See other reviews that say similar experiences.

We are really pleased with Service Champions. We had our annual inspection for our AC/Furnace. He also checked out our water heater and tap water quality too. Trevor was super nice and courteous. He explained everything to me in detail and answered all my questions. Really pleased with the company and the service they provide.

After a great experience with client consultant David Frew the installation was quite an experience. The crew got here at 8 a.m and after setting up and prepping the house when they took out the unit it was the wrong size. They then had to call all over to get the right size as someone had "" given"" them the wrong unit. Finally found one and had to drive mikes away to get it - they began the install around
1 pm . Work wasn't done until almost 5. They left pretty exhausted ( can't say I blame them) and didn't show us how to operate unit. After they left we examined the mini- split and opened it look at how to clean the filters and the cover fell off.
We had to call them the next day to put it it on. When Joel came out he had to put it together and spent time explaining how to use the unit. Thank you Joel.
Then we called the office to get someone out to pick up the check for install. We were told someone would be out between 4-5. Never came. Another day wasted. Finally after calking them on the third day they were able to come and pick up payment. All in all a very confusing experience. While the CSR STAFF of Debbie and Karen were great to deal with there sure were some communication issues and some mistakes made. The crews were professional but the whole experience was not fun.

Barrett Claytor the service rep that came out to perform a tune up on our AC unit did an amazing job going through our whole AC system and taking care of a few items that needed repaired. He really took the time to explain what he was doing and why. I wish all service people that worked on our house had a great attitude like Barrett. The most important quality about him was his honesty and transparency. I would highly recommend service champion to all my friends
