Kevin completed his studies at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, graduating in 1994.
Upon finishing school, he returned to help in his parents' heating and air conditioning business.
After 25 years of ownership, his parents sold the business to a large corporation in Dallas, TX.

Excellent customer service from our technician Justin Starr. It was a pleasure and I don't say this often these days, but Justin was so polite, respectful, very knowledgeable, and definitely went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly and all questions were answered. Highly recommend Service Champions.

Aburee was knowledgeable and friendly. He did a good job with our yearly heater tune-up. We have been using service champion for about 10 years they installed our brand new heater/air conditioner. We have been mostly happy with all our services except 2 times we are feeling that they redeemed themselves, you just have to impress to them you need a experienced tech. Today was a great service.

I changed my initial one star to 4 stars.
Mark Stuart the general manage promptly follow up after my previous post. Although I ended up having to source for other solution to fix my furnace, I appreciate his customer service.

Previously,
I would give no stars if I can. DO NOT USE their service. The technician came out promising me that a inducer motor will fix my problem : peter nagy and hustle me to signed up for mvp to GUARANTEE the work. So I basically pay for both the parts plus labor plus mvp so just that I get heat. Inducer motor failed within one month. Steven Hampton a senior technician came out snd told me he think peter misdiagnosed the first time , a inducer motor of my new unit (5years) shouldn't fail, it is due to a pipe that wasn't pitch right and water backup again and once again causing my new inducer to fail. We both agree that peter should have known the cause of in the first place and fix the cause and not installing a new inducer which caused the whole thing to fail again. Because he couldn't fit in the attic, he schedule peter to come back, promising that problem will fix be fix and that also I will not be charge because of their misdiagnosed and also because I'm a mvp. Waited to have peter back without heat for 2 days. When peter came back , he did agree with steven that piping is the main cause but refuse to admit that he didn't see it in first place, that nobody guarantee anything, that and in order for furnace to work i am liable to pay 670 more. So I ask to speak to manager Daniel Gracie. Daniel turnout to be an complete ass**** , he basically pushes all the blame , come up with all kinds of technical terms to confuse me, even when I don't understand uses a bullshit analogy that if a car fails due to exhaust pipe unaligned, causing motor to fail, I would have to change the exhaust pipe to fix the problem anyway, so doesn't make the difference if I pay extra now or in the first place. No apologies , 100% mean and rude and arrogant.
The thing is, if the pipe is the real cause then peter should have saw this in first place, he guaranteed changing inducer motor will fix my issue, I am not trained, I trusted them, I suffer a month with intermittent heat and a failed new inducer Motor plus a stupid mvp membership. Should I have know the pipe is the cause, I would have change it, I also should be given a diagnosis by a skillful knowledgeable technician. I wasted my time and my money , At this point I cannot trust any of these douche bags. They screwed up and dont own up. In the end, peter and Daniel refuse to refund my failed motor and suggested I call customer service to refund my mvp. A bunch of liars , downright unprofessional and unapologetic and bullshitters. Totally unethical, in the end peter left my attic wide open and did not clean up the water that clog the pipe to at least make furnace work for time being, given that I still have not given refund I am still a mvp customer, he just left unhappily . Utterly disgusted

Best Service Ever!
We just had the most amazing ""White Glove"" Five Star Experience! Just a few days ago we had a personal consultation and a complete Analysis of our heating, air conditioning, venting and insulation status at our home in Benicia. Our entire HVAC System was original and all except for our undersized compressor nothing else had been upgraded since 1979. So, we decided it was time to modernize our whole house. Scott and Ray put a system design together to completely renovate our entire home using ALL AMERICAN MADE products including a 5 ton AC, Lennox heating system, all new vents, a whole house fan and a complete clean out/sanitization and installation of R38 insulation in the attic. All of this was scheduled to take place over a 6 day timeline. Then... WOW! Yesterday was day 1. Washington and his 6 man crew showed up around 8:30 am and went to work. Talk about a Rock Star Team! By 7 pm EVERYTHING had been professionally installed and we were enjoying the most comfortable environment our home has ever had. I forgot to mention that 5 of our 13 vents had hardly ever been able to deliver enough air to make a noticeable difference in any of our downstairs rooms. Now they all enjoy an even temperature and we are looking forward to soon having friends and family for a stay in our guest room. Amazing work you guys! A 6 day job in just 1 day! We couldn't be happier. The last step will be having the new attic insulation installed next week. So, I guess you could say a 6 day job in just 2 days! Thank you so much you guys. We are your biggest fans and walking billboards. You and your company are simply the best!
Blessings,
Michael & Jeannie Mau
PS: And that's not all. We look forward to seeing your Service Champions truck at our home each month when your technician stops by to service our new system. You guys are awesome!

This took me too long to update, but after some waiting time, Service Champions came through as hoped. We had a lot of frustrations going through the reimbursement process but I fully understand that our situation was quite unique.

To note, my husband and I have been a member with this company for a few years before we even installed the new HVAC system. It was surprising that we went through the experience we had recently since we only knew of quick response times and thorough follow up from the company. We've always appreciated their service and amazing staff when they come to our home.

We continue to look forward to working with this company, and using them again in the future-we really truly enjoy the quality of their work and crew. We plan to call them soon for new services because we'd rather work with them than anyone else.

Thank you for dealing with these previously grumpy customers. Mama bear was upset and I'd give 6 stars for dealing with my husband.

Service Champions is the best. I've been a customer for 15 years and have never had a bad experience. They go the extra mile to ensure everything is done correctly and thoroughly. Justin Starr came today and didn't only repair the heating insulation but he noticed a potential problem. We ordered the part and he also cleaned my uptake filter. He's the greatest and a great ambassador for the company. Thanks justin.

Awesome that their service personnel show up prompt in the time frame given. We have been a customer for over 15 years and everyone is very pleasant and helpful. We just had Scott here who was extremely courteous and helpful not to mention friendly when selecting a water heater. His information and questions answered professionally. Thanks Service Champions for a great crew! Always a five star!

We had an issue with our Heating at home and Service Champions was recommended to me by another Family. I called and got an appointment a few days later. I was notified via text when the Technician Osag and his associate was on their way to our home they were very respectful, professional and knowledgable and told me step by step everything they will do or about to do to see what was wrong with our heater from start to finish it went pretty smooth despite my busy schedule and being on the phone inbetween them asking permission and telling me what needed to be replaced or done. I had alot of questions with Osag and he was able to give me all the answers as i had alot of valid questions to the little deatils i needed to understand. Will update once they receive the parts that was being ordered and once the installation have been done. For now i'm happy with their service. Thank you!

Updated: My initial review focused on the rate for parts on a repair. I was estimated $512 for a part for which the OEM (Manufacturer's original equipment) part was available on Amazon for $40 (pictured). I expect a steep mark-up from a service company, but there were other issues.... The service agent had tried to represent it as two parts; it is not... it is a single part with two valves.

However, after seeing my review, the Service Champions reached out and adjusted the estimate. The part was still multiples over retail, but I also understand that is partly how they recover the second visit at no charge. I would prefer more transparency, but that is hard to find unless you just hire someone by the hour.

Given the servicemen are actually pleasant and professional, I accepted the new pricing estimate. The overall newly negotiated price was still a bit steep, but more reasonably so. Our furnace was repaired and appears to be working.

My advice would be to ask up front what parts need to be replaced, and do so quick research for that part for your model of equipment before agreeing to have repair work done. The information could save you hundreds of dollars.

Also, they gave me a free membership in their service program, which gives me discounts for future services. However, I doubt I will proactively use it.

So, overall the service was good, the service agent was professional, but Service Champions is expensive and you'll want to verify all prices for parts.
