I had an emergency situation with my sump pump and also some mystery sockets that were not working.

Ben got here super quickly, he figured out where the short was coming from, and why some of my sockets mysteriously stopped working and prevented my home from flooding. He quoted me quickly and then showed up promptly and explained everything.

Ben responded promptly to my emails about a quote and my questions on which thermostats I needed to buy to replace the ones in my home. One of them was failing. He installed a programmable thermostat that was tricky because it turned out the wiring was crossed from what it was supposed to be. But he was very diligent and figured it out. His price was competitive with other bids I received and much better than some.

Ben came out within an hour of requesting a quote on Yelp. After reviewing what we needed done and saying he'd be happy to do it right away, he said we could save money by doing it ourselves, since my husband is pretty handy. He easily could have taken the job and made money, but spent a good deal of time instead telling us what we needed to buy and do to take care of it ourselves. What a guy! Rare to find someone so honest! I'm saving his contact information for future needs and to pass along to family and friends in need of an electrician!

I have Ben installed a bathroom fan. He quickly responded to my request with a quote estimate, showed up on time, was respectful, and got the job done promptly. Ben came by to replace 2 pendants above my countertop. 2 stars for being punctual.

Unfortunately the pendants were damaged so we couldn't move forward with the job.

Here are the reasons for my dissatisfaction: Contrary to other reviews, which state that Ben was respectful and wore booties in their home, he did not wear booties in mine (during pandemic time) and he stepped his dirty sneaker on top of my clean countertop. He also appeared rushed/ irritable when I was trying to decide on the pendant height.

Then after placing the old pendant back he charged me $150 for 30 mins of his time. This is contrary to other reviews that said he didn't charge them for coming out to do a simple job.

Ultimately, I won't be calling this vendor back.

I've had worked with a dozen of contractors, Ben is undoubtedly the most honest, professional, capable and reliable. He answered my questions quickly and gave me a reasonable quote. He's punctual. While he examined the whole house, he informed me about electrical issues and potential hazards. Because of some poorly wired outlets and switches, he had to check almost every one of them in the house to find out the root cause of the problem. He's very patient. Although it took extra long time, he didn't give up and he was able to get all the problems resolved. He charged me the previously agreed flat rate. I hope I have known him earlier!
